New Ways of Winning

By L5RBr, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

The issue I see with the idea of these alternative winning methods is they won't be viable.

Not because of hard to do. But because unless they create new tokens which to me seem to be part of a big box then how are you going to track It? The current rules state you are not allowed to make notes during a game (tournament) so this would make any victory over turns impossible to track and be legal

Honor tokens can do double duty.

Not sure 2 players using the same tokens can do that if they going for the same thing.

How many honor tokens are currently in a box? At most you would need 24*2 for honor, plus 1*2 for Public Forum, plus 9*2 for speculative enlightenment counter, for a total of 68 tokens. Seems doable. Not sure how I keep in a box but between two players' stock of tokens I doubt most games will ever hit the max needed.

Plus, they know people will make it work. Kinda like Tokens in Magic.

I mean, the number of tokens in a single box is kinda moot given that most players will have 2-3 cores anyhow. If need requires, there should be plenty of spare tokens available, just a matter of bringing them along.
