I really like the Phantom and I always want to put it on the table. But no matter how hard I try, I have no idea for a viable list. Same problem with the new Silencer. I really want to fly this baby but don't know exactly in what list she might fit. So why not fly both of them together in one list:

I put an Academy Pilot in the squadron because he's a nasty bumper. The Ini bit isn't really important for this list because it'll only matters against PS9 pilots. For this purpose I took Intel Agent as a crew. I hope he will synergizes a bit with the Academy Pilot.

I think the intel agent will definitely help. Whisper is a tough one. PS11 alpha strike is becoming more common, and they are going to torch her. Anything PS8 and below is in for a rough fight. The thing you will need to perfect is flying with the cloak. It takes some practice.

As for the silencer, it's still up in the air, in my opinion. There are enough green maneuvers to more than justify PTL. Advanced sensors will let you do the PTL, than do a green to instantly remove the stress. It's a nice tactic. Optics/title will give you options for dice mods without letting you even spend the PTL actions. So, it's a great ship, but it is 47 points for a 6 hull/shield ship.

As another big fan of phantoms, they are absolutely screwed by not winning high PS. Getting an ISYTDS with damaged cockpit on any 9+ ps ace your opponent flies should be your first priority and I would even say you might want to consider keeping whisper cloaked until then. That means you're basically flying Kylo solo and that you need him to be shot before whisper can safely do work. Because of that, I think you might have to settle on only one of those 2 aces in particular. Whisper having Kylo as crew to toss out that ISYTDS early would let her jump into the fight sooner, as long as you have a reliable way to get crits in. You could bring in Blackout pretty easily if you want both a phantom and a silencer and maybe upgrade the academy pilot to wampa for that chance of a free crit through shields.

That ship pairing destroys ships, but it's one of those walking a razor wire squads. Take control of the fight and good positioning and you'll melt anything; get caught once and you probably lost a ship.

I love phantoms but personally I think Echo is a lot more unpredictable than whisper, and can get you at just the right angle to arc dodge, but she requires a lot more practice to be viable. intel agent is also a good pick for a lower PS ship like a phantom. All in all, the current meta does not seem like a hospitable environment for a phantom.

Agreed that Echo is the one that is harder to perdict, but its also hard to get Echo up to the PS to deal with some of the Aces. One missed decloak position can put Echo out in the open to be pummeled.

It also depends on the Meta in your area......however most lists that I have been seeing lately all have at least one PS around 10

Yeah...learning how to dance with them is important. I might take the list to a tournament...

I like that idea to embrace Echo. With Intel Agent, she has some hope to survive, and about as much as Whisper, given how high PS the meta is right now. As for flying a Phantom with Kylo, I'm a little iffy. My main concern is that they are both, ultimately, fragile. If they die, they really, really die, and you will have no recourse. That's why I like flying them with either 2 other solid ships or one really beefy one, maybe a light 3rd.
