So thats what happened to the thread about the rebel minis. Shame. I was enjoying that argument. Nothing better than amd endless debate against a cretin. Mental stimulation that was
Not thrilled by the storm troopers.
Is this the same OP that slaughtered the Rebel Troopers?
I read that post a week ago and was horrified at how terrible the figures sounded. I admit I hadnt really looked at the figures much and went quickly looking to see these abominations....cancel pre order button at the ready!!
Found pics of em and thought they looked pretty good tbh
The miniatures looks good enough for me. Some of the hobbyists are just way too picky. They could use cardboard for the miniatures and I’d still play this game because the rules are great. It shouldn’t matter to anyone what poses the minis are in. The mechanics of the pieces are what matter so I’m more concerned with the cards and rules.

Better is the enemy of good. I am also about the game, not about the minis. But I don't mind better minis.

Because most people realise the damage is done so would rather move on. It seems that a lot of the people here want decent rules more than realistic miniatures.
The minis could be better, sure. The minis are already a load better than IA, so I'm happy with that as a bare minimum. The Minis will likely get better over time (IA and X-Wing both show improvements as time goes on) and as people say, the Snowtroopers already look better pose wise. Some of the people heavily invested in the look of the minis will likely provide tutorials on how to mod them.

Moving on is not what will give us better minis.

The way both these threads were toned by the op won't either.
Edited by RalgonOne can never be too critical!! Especially with something as important as starwars tabletop miniatures!

Better is the enemy of good. We have some absolutely fantastic minis coming our way. The poses are great, the detail is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. As ffg continues to publish expansions they will get even better. Whining about a game that isn't even in the hands of the consumer yet is childish and speaks to a sad sense of entitlement. You don't have to buy the game and you don't have to take a dump on other people's fun.
...it is not childish to speak one's mind...if not here...then where does one provide feedback?....vielen dank...

I'm not going to complain about the mileage of a car that I haven't bought. I'm not going to complain about the ending of a book I have not read. I am not going to trash a restaurant I have never eaten at. This is not a Kickstarter where you bought into something without knowing how it would end up. This game has been very clearly advertised to be what it is. If you don't like it take your dollars elsewhere. There was recently a game released in my absolute favorite sci fi universe: the expanse. The components for the game were not to my liking. They were cardboard tokens and wooden cubes and the card art was tv show stills instead of original art. I did not buy the game and I moved on with my life. I did not whine like a child that the publishers of the game did not tailor it to my exact desires. Children whine. Adults move on.

..two great things about free speaking....(a) is anyone can...(b) but no one has to listen (or respond)... ...but I am moving on to the next topic... hope that they have so many different positions for STORMIES!..... vielen dank
If people are not satisfied with the poses now, then they might come out with more later.

True. But the other side of that is that if someone uses their free speech in a childish manner anyone is free to call them out on it.
....lol....no..... ....an adult does not "call them out".... an adult provides a thoughtful argument; where if they are persuasive then people will listen; and if not persuasive, people will not listen (nor respond).... ...sometimes a method to react to a poor topic; is to simply not listen (nor respond) and allow the topic to die on the vine...(unless you have an argument to sway the mob without turning to childish manners)... ...but I am moving on to the topic; it would be enjoyable to see STORMIES in the posses of the little green army men of yore!!!.....that would be wunderbar!....vielen dank....
Also you don't have free speech here, strictly speaking. As these boards are the property of FFG, FFG may set and enforce such rules on speech as they deem necessary, by what means they so choose. Example, the swear filter.
The op made no argument. He simply whined about a company not meeting his own specific desires and told people to spend their dollars elsewhere. You know what would be the best way to see more stormtrooper poses? Support the game and community and give ffg incentive to publish more product.

No argument? OP detailed:
- what poses he didn't like
- what he didn't like about the poses
- what poses he would prefer
- why he would prefer those poses.
You have yet to come up with arguments against these points. Me likesa is not an argument.
Not an argument. Simply several statements of opinion. In any case, this thread needs to die like the other one. It is pointless and has generated no useful discussion.
You can't please everyone. Some people have unattainable standards. I'm super happy with everything I've seen so far. I feel sorry for people who are so picky they can't enjoy whats in front of them. Pretty sure someone at FFG is aware that maybe two people didn't like the sculpt. Move on people

In this day and age, I do think on occasion there might be a bit of tactical industrial sabotage...people from other companies trying to spread rumours/horror stories about competitors products.
Not saying its the case here but surely it goes on with the anonymity of the net.

So, anyone who doesn't sing the "Everything is awesome!" song is a troll/industrial spy?

No but people who join a forum and make their one and only post about how they don't like the thing that the forum is about? That's a troll.
