The Dice Pool Podcast - EPISODE 2 - Running a Session 0
Hey, thanks for the Shout Out about the Wandering Fighter Supplement I wrote!
Hmm - still not up on iTunes (Canada). At least, for me. Anyone else have this issue?
Question: how to represent Soak in the narration ?
I'm getting bandwidth errors every time I try to access this; is there an alternate mirror by any chance?
Thanks for the heads up @Tom Cruise . We have fixed that issue. We thought 250GB for the month would be enough. It's a nice problem to have but we've fixed that issue now. Hopefully our fix prevents further problems.
A bit over half way through now, this is great stuff. Thanks heaps for all the kind words by the way, really boosted my ego
I also enjoyed your discussion a lot.
As I was either in the gym or driving, I had no opportunity to take notes, so I might have to re–listen.
Before Monday, when I have a Session 0.
Sweet pressure
Question to GM Hooly
i was listening to your first session. I think the first skill check was a perception check. The check was successful and yielded 3 advantage and 2 threats.
if I understand correctly, you the played the 3 advantages and 2 threats separately.
Shouldn’t you have netted the threats from the advantage instead ?
If not, have you defined a few house rules as to when you net and when you play separately ?
Edited by TabulazeroThe first check (Easy Perception with 1 setback) was 2 Successes, a Triumph and a Threat.
Is that the check you are referring to?
I had gotten it wrong then. You need to treat the triumph separatly from the threat.
which brings me to an additional question: doesn’t triumph count as one advantage as well (which would negate the threat) or do you remove it from the people once you interpret it separately ?

Triumph counts as a success and triumph. The success would cancel (and be canceled by) a failure, but the narrative triumph aspect would stand.
Edited by NytwyngTx. Got it wrong also.

Parries, close calls, weapons clashing, hits turned aside by armor, and glancing hits.
