Sentinel:Shadow

By Siuolis, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Hello all,

Has anyone played the shadow class from the sentinel spec(there seems to be no posts on this class) and what are your thoughts.

My group is starting a new story and I was looking to play either shadow or Niman disciple.

Thanks.

My current character started with Sentinel: Shadow as her first career choice. She's since picked up other specs as well: Shien Expert, Force Sensitive Exile, and Mystic: Seer.

If you want to play a character who operates on stealth, Shadow is a great choice. The Misdirect force power is an excellent buy to accompany the Shadow career choice, btw. With enough investment in your Stealth skill and Misdirect you can sneak an entire group into places they'd never otherwise be able to go. Having one stealthy character in a group is useful-- having a character who can make the whole *group* stealthy is even better, IMO.

Shadow's pretty good at being a sneaky-type PC, so if you're in a campaign that doesn't allow for or encourage much sneaking around, it's kinda lackluster, much the same as a combat-heavy spec would be in a campaign centered around social intrigue.

This is FFG's answer to D&D/Pathfinder rogues. My favorite class in fact.

Shadows are a surprisingly versatile specialisation, like any good rogue. Great at sneaking around places and has a varied skill-set. Plus, it has the Well-rounded Talent which is always useful.

It also has that really nice once a session encounter reset button.

Thank you all for your input, looks like I'll being a shadow:)
