Action vs Manouevre

By mig21, in WFRP Rules Questions

Hello there,

I Try read every entry and I can´t find a clarification to my "problem"

In an encaunter is possible make a manouevre, (for free), them another, (for 1 fatigue), them 1 action, (melle atack), them another manouevre, (1 more fatigue), them the parry action card, for another fatigue.

The principal ofe the question is: It´s possible play 2 action cards in the same turn? For example one atack and one defence?

Sorry my inglish, tanks in advance

You can make the following:

  • Maneuver (free)
  • Maneuver (1 fatigue)
  • Action: Melee attack (free)
  • Maneuver (1 fatigue)

The Parry card is only played as a reaction, as explained on the card's text. So you don't play it in your turn, but rather when your character becomes the target of an attack. At that point you use the Parry card to add misfortune dice to the attacker.

The only case I know of that you can play two action cards is when a wizard is Quickcasting.

Exactly as Lexicanum said, and just to clarify there is no fatigue cost for using those reaction cards (they are effectively Free actions, but can only be used in response to particular actions of your opponent)

reactions are free actions triggered by an event outside of your turn. You may use one or more reaction cards against a same event. So you can dodge+parry+block against the same attack for free, outside of your turn.
