Hey I just remembered something from ESB, one of the best if not the best SW film: remember the bombers? Yeah they were dropping bombs in space!!! How dumb right?!

Wrong. It was cool. Just like the Resistance bombers, they were cool too.

Of all the wonky star wars physics, space bombs are easiest to write off; just say they're propelled out of the ship. As long as they're not accelerating downward as if they were really falling, it's easy to hand-wave off. Let's talk about turbolaser shots that have drop in space.

TLDR summary:

I grew up loving the worst things George Lucas ever did, and quit Star Wars because of the Vong. I outgrew the Special Editions and Prequels, and Star Wars wilted for me. The Disney canon breathed new life into a practically dead fandom, and I’ve been thrilled to give them my money. I didn’t like everything about TLJ, but loved the movie as a whole.

My Star Wars autobiography:

I was 5 or 6 years old in the early 90’sthe first time I saw Star Wars on VHS. After that I checked out Star Wars reference books from libraries to learn more about the universe. I was in love with my Micro Machines, and always wanted a game to play with them. (Thanks FFG for fulfilling a decades-old childhood wish.) The special editions hit theaters when I was a kid, and I was thrilled to see Star Wars on the big screen.

The prequels ran through my teenage years, I loved TPM and hated Hayden Christiansen while I enjoyed the rest of II and III. As my tastes matured, I outgrew the prequels.

The center of my teenage fandom was Star Wars CCG by Decipher. In retrospect it was a terrible game, but FFG could learn a thing or two about flavor text from Decipher. I read some Star Wars novels in high school, but in no particular order. I liked Rogue Squadron, but I could never get the books from the library in the proper sequence.

I gave up on Star Wars when the Vong invaded. The EU betrayed the Star Wars long before the Disney canon.

X-wing, The Clone Wars and The Force Awakens ignited my fandom from cold ashes. It’s all kind of blurred together with other life events in the past few years. I take in as much of the new Star Wars as I can afford. Comics, novels, Rebels, and, most recently, The Last Jedi. I don’t like every detail, but I don’t have to. I’m in my early 30’s enjoying Star Wars with my wife and children and friends, and on my own. The Last Jedi gave me a great experience with my wife, and that makes it a good movie despite glaring flaws.
