simple question but I couldn't find an answer: how long is the motivators ability active? Only as long as there is a jawa on the map? As soon as I bring a jawa and for the rest of the mission (so if he gets killed and not redeployed)?

Thematically: do the Jawas upgrade the droids by adjusting bits and pieces (lasting for the rest of the mission) or are the droids happy and motivated when they see a jawa and sad and normal as soon as the jawa is gone (temporary effect). I assume it's the second one. Thematically it should be the first.

I assume only while there's a Jawa on the map, to be persistent it I think it would be an upgrade card or some sort of token that the Jawa could apply to droids to give the bonus.

It is only active while the Jawa with the ability is on the map.

If the Jawa Scavenger is no longer on the map, there is no Motivators ability in play. Droids no longer have the bonuses.

Thematically - think of restraining bolts and driving above normal parameters. When the Motivation is gone, so are the added abilities.

(If the gains would be persistent, each time you deploy the Jawa in a mission, you would get another +1 Speed and another +1 Accuracy, which would be silly.)
