Dangerous driving difficulty

A question, RAW if a character is operating a silhouette 8 starship and want to try the Dangerous Driving action, the difficulty will be 8 purple dices (!!!).
This is an impossible difficulty for any one character even with 5 proficiency dices, but if you think about a starship operated by minions, this can be absolutely impossible.

I'm misunderstanding something? In Star Wars you have HALF silhouette (rounded up), so a massive starship with sil 8 is 4 purple dices (then upgraded by speed and Genesys has a useful table for this).

Did you have any idea about this?

A Silhouette 8 starship will likely have at least 1 co-pilot using the Co-Pilot maneuver. They could reduce the difficulty pretty significantly - that will easily cancel out speed upgrades. As for the difficulty...well, try and eek out as many boost dice as possible?

Just did some test rolls, 4Y1G (should be attainable for the pilot of a Sil 8 capital ship..) vs 8 purple, was about 50% success rate. Usually a bunch of threat, occasionally a triumph or 2. It's doable, and makes sense when considering how difficult it would be to maneuver a capital ship through any sort of dangerous turn or something - like when they all had to try and dodge out of the death star's shields in return of the jedi)

Actually rereading, it doesn't look like you can do any checks higher than 5 difficulty anyway - even an impossible task is a story point to try the roll, and then 5 difficulty.
