With the ERRATA'd cards...

By IceQube MkII, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Would be great if FFG could include them in later expansions... like 63 cards in each pack of the next cycle until we catch up.

No idea how much if would cost or if it's feasible. MtG just bans cards?

Thoughts?

It seems doubtful, barring a reprint for revised or a Championship pack.

Agree on both points: this would be awesome, but it's highly unlikely. If they've gotten this far without ever doing this (barring reprints of the pack or expansion itself) it ain't gonna happen.

Is there a link to the errata's cards?

They are updated on the QR codes. There are also updated images in the article that came out with the RRG update announcement..

It's never to late to change. I encourage FFG to do this for their LCGs. It will build trust with their customers- it's saying... Yeah we messed up, but we're gonna correct it for you -because we care about our players who spend their hard earned cash on our products.

Ha. Yeah.

It'd be nice, but this is FFG. These errata are all pretty minor stuff, other games like Destiny have had errata that essentially nerfs them in to being an entirely new card and there's no sign of any reissues or anything. The only real hope is (outside of reprints, which only helps new players) is that they release alt art versions of cards and do them there. But even that seems to be a stretch for FFG, sadly.

I really appreciated how Doomtown: Reloaded included errata'd cards in their saddlebags.

This absolutely wouldn't be for everyone, but I would definitely accept having one fewer card in the Dynasty Packs if they included old cards with new Errata in there. It'll never happen though, lets just wait for Core Set V2 in 5 years.

edit - would also happily pay for errata'd cards as well.

It's not unprecedented however: I believe FFG provided errata relevant reprints for Imperial Assault in their organized play kits. Also in an Elder Sign expansion they provided reprints of cards in the core to replace older versions that were printed with incorrect symbols...Forgive me if I'm wrong.

All of the erratas listed so far are relatively minor, though, and probably the way people were playing the cards anyway.

Also, I did't see any mention of Toturi/Hotaru. Does this mean they'll remain as-written?

Yes. They (at least Toturi) is included in the FAQs added to the RR and it upholds the original ruling on how the ability works on defense.

This would be difficult in many cases without losing something at the same time.

In short: 60 cards is the limit of the printing sheets. This means if a normal expansion is 60 cards then we have to lose X amount of cards to allow for reprints in normal cases.

Also DT:R have many corrected/errated cards as Organized Play prizes cards, most of time with alternate illustrations.

I don' know about anyone else but I would like them to put out a yearly errata card pack with corrected text.

I think having them in the OP kits are a great idea, even if they are not 100% the most desirable cards to print as promos.
