Hey all,
So, my Age of Rebellion RPG is still going strong after almost two years, which I attribute entirely to how awesome my chosen players are, both in their dependability and their ability to churn out quality, detailed, and sometimes lengthy, posts. The fact that almost all of those players were recruited to my board on roleplayinggames.net from these forums is the principle reason for this post.
After playing Twilight Imperium 4th Edition for the first time the other day (and loving it!), and after seeing it given as an example setting in the Genesys rulebook, I came to the conclusion that, someday, I'd like to try running a campaign set in that universe. When this will happen isn't certain yet - it could be in a weeks time, or in several months - but in either case I want to find for myself players of similar quality to the aforementioned to join me in the writing of it.
The principle idea, or at least one that I'm toying with, is to have this RPG campaign take place in the same universe where events are proceeding much as they have in my gaming group's recent (or next, perhaps) TI4 game. I'd likely make notes on what happens during each round, or record it, and then use the procession of events and turns and conflicts as inspiration for a backdrop of events that will occur in the RPG. Player characters can then have the chance to influence the course of the narrative in small or epic ways, as befitting a space opera, in accordance with their own actions, goals, and efforts. (To clarify, my boardgaming group are also involved in our tabletop RPGs, and are all interested in playing TI4 with an emphasis on RPing their races and characters out honestly .)
If anyone is interested in the above, please post here, or send me a private message. Before I begin moving on this idea with gusto, I want to see sufficient interest and find suitable players (3-5 in number). Then I'd need to work with the group to provide accurate templates for the various Great Races.
Thoughts?
