Genesys RPG Twilight Imperium Races...

By BrashFink, in Genesys

Very nice!

Oh for crying out loud... I keep finding typos. I have already fixed and reuploaded twice and I just found another.

Yssaril Cunning should be 2, not 1

I will keep searching for errors and upload again sometime tomorrow.

I have updated the PDF.

Looks awesome!

Would you be opposed to me linking to this document from my PbP requirement thread?

Not all all. Feel free to use it wherever.

Thanks!

I'm writing up a board application shortly, and have two possible players; maybe more, when the setting info is put up to accommodate those who haven't played the board game.

As a note: Medicine's characteristic/ability is listed simply as "Medicine". Just in case you were feeling perfectionistic. :D

Just wondering... would it be worth throwing in a skill to accommodate Warfare, such as AoR's Knowledge (Warfare)? Given that mass combat is a big thing in Twilight Imperium, it seems prudent to have a skill that can contribute to mass combat rolls (if they're used, like in AoR), or to represent tactical/strategic ability.

Yeah, I noticed that durning Character creation with one of my players. Also for Coastal Hylar is says "12+Brawl" for the Wounds instead of Brawn. I will update soon ?

Yeah I debated that. I figure if anyone wants it they can just add it

Working on a new map, but I realized things changed later after the RPG... things moved to different systems. I am going to need to completely rework it.

Sigh... I spent like 4 hours on this yesterday. lol

[DELETED BECAUSE IT IS HORRIBLY WRONG}

The benefit of basing my game off of a 10-12 hour run of the board game means that the galaxy layout and machinations of the Great Races (or at least some of them) is already determined. ^_^

I have the base planets setup (ones that came in base TI3 and with TI4).

There are several systems that either had their name changed or were dropped all together since the RPG and possibly first edition (not sure, I no longer have my first edition). I used some of them to be the name of a system (star) that contains current planets.

For example, Emeplar in the old RPG has become the System Name for the one that contains Dal Bootha and Xxehan.

Some of these I also dumped the planet in there as well... another example, planet Lort IV (possibly renamed Litra IV?). I named a system Lort, and dumped Corneeq and Resculon in it... and also Lort IV).

Will post hopefull soon

Okay, here is the updated map. There is a link to a 5000 pixel copy in the first post.

Link to PDF has been updated fixing some typos, etc.

How is the game going? I am planning a sci-fi game, but I am resistant to space opera because of the amount of minutiae to monitor.

Are your players able to negotiate the politics of such a complex environment?

Thanks,

Brady

Thanks for all of your work on this!
