IMO elimination rounds is OK in the context of the WC.
If we just did Swiss, i think interest would quickly fade away once players see they are going nowhere.
With PODs and eliminations, there is a stake for everyone as long as possible. And probably more interesting for spectators too.
Also, none of my eliminations have been boring. They have been quite bloody and fun.
But generally speaking, I mostly agree with @thecactusman17 in that elimination rounds are boring. Boring to play, boring to watch. And they require a different mindset - and different fleet builds.
