"Crimson Specialist" (38) - B/SF-17 Bomber
Accuracy Corrector (3), Ordnance Silos (2), Thermal Detonators (3), Sensor Cluster (2), Deflective Plating (1)

Built in Aurora Squad Builder

So, here is this: with Crimson's ability, you probably don't need to launch too often, and accuracy corrector gives you 2 hits all range 360 degrees.

So, you save your focus for defense, and with sensor cluster, you will get at least 1 evade per round.

If you want, you could add the title.

I think I'd rather have advanced optic & crossfire formation IF you're going to have another resistance ship, but sensor clusters is a better 'standalone' tech choice.

It's a nice build. I have been wondering if accuracy corrector bombers might be able to pull their weight purely as turret ships, but I'd be worried that autothruster ships and reinforce will make a bit of a mockery of 2-hit attacks...

I like sensor cluster on the bomber and I like trajectory simulator just to keep your enemies guessing.

I've been thinking about Crimson Specialist with Minefield Mapper in a list with Nym. Stick a Proton bomb somewhere nasty to start the game, and hold it. That big space in the middle of the asteroid field? Fly in there and you eat a crit.

Meanwhile, I'd run TrajSim on Nym, plus some nasty bombs to launch. I think the list would have room for a 3rd ship, but only something cheap like Rex.

Would Advanced Optics be necessary? I feel like a large part of the strength of Crossfire Formation is that it gives you a reliable, high-value way to spend your focus token every turn. If you're doing that, you probably won't have a token to keep. And if you do keep focus, the resistance bomber doesn't really have high value actions to take instead. I guess it has high-value red moves, though. That might be enough, and I may have talked myself back into Advanced Optics. Still, I think AdvO would be something I could justify cutting for points.

I had also been thinking about Weapons Guidance on a bomber. It can be used in conjunction with TrajSim, and has always worked best on 2-attack ships. With the PWT and a fairly large amount of hit points, I think it'd be worth the investment; at least more than it would on a 4 HP TIE with a fixed arc. However, defensive options might make more sense.

I wonder if Accuracy Corrector is worth the points? Unless you have them lying around, its a largish investment for only 2 hits in a meta like this, which can often take such damage.

I r e a l l y dig sensor cluster on any maneuver bomb bombers.
