Imperial Pilots that are considered canon

Individually named, right now, from Rebels, we really only have Valen Rudor, and Vult Skerris*

Oddly, neither seems to be on the wookie page linked earlier.

AFAIK, we have, as Imperial pilots (not including all the Rebel pilots that were once Imperial pilots):

  • The Grand Inquisitor (TIE Advanced Prototype)
  • Fifth Brother (TIE Advanced Prototype)
  • Seventh Sister (TIE Advanced Prototype)
  • Darth Vader (TIE Advanced)
  • Valen Rudor (TIE Fighter, TIE Advanced Prototype)
  • Vult Skerris (TIE Interceptor, TIE Defender)
  • Ciena Ree (TIE Fighter, TIE Interceptor)
  • Captain Kagi (Imperial Shuttle)
  • Colonel Jendon (Imperial Shuttle - although not sure how canon this is...he's SEEN on-screen piloting a shuttle, but never named in canon, AFAIK)

Considering new cannon post-endor empire was intentionally destroyed by the contingency, id say most to all talented officers died or jumped over to the first order the first chance they got.

From what I recall reading, there was still an Empire left after Jakku and whatnot, just a crippled rump state that had to sue for peace with the New Republic, accept disarmament and other terms.

Beyond that I personally refuse to believe the entire Imperial Navy was whittled down to a couple dozen ISDs and one SSD. If that was the totality of their forces by that time, they would have offered no real threat to the New Republic and could have been swept aside with relative ease at any point. I play far too many grand strategy games to accept the military situation that seems to be portrayed. It just does not make sense.

I think the best explanation here would be that while they still had a powerful navy, Jakku was where the last stong able leadership was lost. With no one strong/savvy enough to hold power. Think of the old EU just prior to Thrawn's return. The Empire had been fractured and driven away from most of their key systems. Endor killed off many of their top leadership and those that survived were lost in the confusion post Endor, with the last at Jakku. Empire then sues for peace while they can.

I have been wanting something like that/this for years! Make it like Games of Thrones in that there is no plot armor.

Well, all the good imperials join the rebellion. Or run off to help found the superevil first order after killing galius rax...

Defections to the rebellion are logical in any post-endor imperial story.
