On a slow approach, after shooting his first missile Karasabi can move, reload and stress to fire a second with the support of Quick's lock. I think that could be a feature in various matchups. Lightning Reflexes provides real chase ability and can be activated after slam.

The Rho brings the same ability to slow approach with mods or jump forward with a slam and missile - though this ship uses the Arsenal Loadout to shoot at a ship it has locked. I'm aware that the Targeting Synchronizer doesn't work for the Rho' Arsenal Loadout upgrade but I still think it will provide a lot of utility....

I still have some points to play with and would like opinions:

Should I put a different ept on Quickdraw? Should I hold a 2 point bid at ps 11? Is VI Backdraft worth consideration in place of Quick?

Should I use guidance chips or is LRS plain better on the boats? I like the ability to move and focus on the initial engagement for full mods using LRS. On the other hand, if I'm shooting multiple missiles off of Targeting Synch or range 3 locks, then guidance chips are mods I'm missing out on.

Should advanced slam be anywhere?

If you drop the (terrible) OS-1 title off of the Rho you can upgrade Karsabi to HLC.

I would hardly deem the OS-1 title as terrible. OS-1 you could use the harpoons, advanced slam comes in at 8 points, comes in at the same as your XG-1 and HLC's (with out slam). Both range 2-3, one has splash, one doesn't. One has action efficiency, it's a preference thing, but hardly horrible.

If you don't use advanced slam, I would go to cannon's. If you use missiles my experience is that it's easier to find the needed action efficiency using advanced slam.

I don't like Lightning Reflexes on Karsabi - Wired is almost irredeemably strong on her, in particular with XG-1 Linked Battery and HLC.

QD seems uncomfortably expensive to me. I don't see the real pressing need for the Synchronizer. I don't personally like Harpoons on her either, but I've been brutalized by those before, so what do I know?

As for the Rho, I love OS-1 Harpoons, but I like Advanced SLAM/PLT on them even better. Crazy action economy, and fairly guaranteed missile shots. PTL is only really there if you are short on an action, ie reload or TL when needed.
