Sorry I didn't try to be. Just tried to help your own reasoning process.

Now I read it I agree it sounded rude.

Appologies accepted:) Id rather call It passive-aggresive than rude, but also I might be over-sensitive. Still, is it just my bad english that I thought of extending the effect, or can it be read that way? I re-read it, and hmmm. By 'this card effect' It only points at himself the card, and not at the change dice part?

I read it as affecting squadrons at first, and second and on. But yeah since it's in the FAQ and not errata part, no wording on his card changed.

I think that's the part that's missing for @Coldhands : Screed still works like he used to (i.e. only affecting ships), but it has clarified that it works during an opponent's squadron activation as well, for ships that may wish to use it during a counter attack.

A lot of this FAQ clarifies things that didn't need clarification, which is nice.

Either they're just robust-ening the rules, or preparing for specific new mechanics currently in development.

For example, if Wave 7 drops with a card that allows you to forgo attacking during your activation to attack an enemy ship that moves within close range of a certain arc during its activation, suddenly Screed's clarification makes sense.

Or, alternately, between Screed and RLBs, we now know "this activation" refers to whichever ship or squadron activation during which the upgrade resolves. So that should make future upgrades easier to figure out.

Was there anything missing from the FAQ that folks were wanting to know? It feels like they covered just about everything that I've seen being bandied about.

My sleep deprived brain is not finding anything big missed, and is enjoying the advance notice on Thrawn and Raddus.

Th ey covered everything from the wave 6 aggregation thread , yes.

It would be amazing if the FFG staff were actually using the forums to gather questions.

It may be a case of "correlation does not equal causation" but it's heartening to see.

Well, we know they read the forums, even though they don't post (I'm sure there are many occasions when they're sitting on their hands to keep from posting in here...).

That said, I'm pretty sure Dras has the link to submit rules questions bookmarked in his browser and sends them every question as it comes up. I, and I think one or two others, have also just sent them aggregated lists of open questions for the last couple of waves.

So, one way or other, they're definitely getting the questions that come up here. :)

Excellent. I laud FFG today for being proactive in this FAQ. They've done a good job here clearing things up and getting a bit ahead of the game.

Now I must be missing something or have been doing it wrong (also very possible) but what is the point of the Quad Laser Turrets "When a ship with this card equipped
performs a counter attack, the ship’s owner chooses which hull zone the attack is performed from." It is not like one hull zone or another will affect the number of dice. Also a counter attack does not forbid an attack from the hull zone later does it?

TF Antilles...

When resolving this card’s effect, you cannot choose and exhaust more than one copy of this card.

 Did they just kill it?

They're doing what should have been done the first time. Saying "LOL your full power shot from Avenger barely tickles my Hammerhead" was stupidly overpowered.

FFG has given us a couple of card preview articles in the last few weeks and now a preemptive FAQ. They like Armada. They really like Armada!

Ackbar.

if you have Used him, you cannot shoot from front or rear.

sonif you have QLT and Someone bombs your butt after you have activated, declared Ackbar and shot...,...

the argument was you couldn’t counter...

(As Ackbar does not have a “This activation” restriction)

If the targeted hull zone is obstructed, you can pick a hull zone with a clear line of sight.

When the BTAvenger saying "LOL I am going through your large basis like into butter" isn't, right?

A massive, expensive ship should be powerful, be it the Avenger or any other large combat ship like the Hone One or Liberty. A cheap escort craft that's barely more durable than a flotilla shouldn't be tanking full broadsides just because it has friends nearby.

OK this makes sense, something that I had never thought about.

This one, maybe it is just me but I can not come up with how the targeted hull zone could be obstructed, but another one clear? With squadrons needing to be so close and most of them also only having one anti-ship die, what am I missing?

The squadron may even be out of arc for the targeted hull zone (think ISD front and a squad attacking from the side)

The change to the All Out Offensive seems kind of ****. What sort of crazy combos were happening with the way it was shipped?

Dodonna every time, because he applied across the board To the enemy.

Dodonna doing super-crits on every enemy at the table was reason enough.

And Devastator. And any other (future) upgrade card with a zone-specific effect while attacking.

Wait, am I understanding that correctly for Devastator?

If it's defending with QLT, it can use its ability for EVERY counter attack now?

No

its still only once per round.

nutbit can mean if you’re shot in the rear by a squadron, have QLT, and not used your ability, you can have the counter shot come from the front, I guess...
