I haven't seen anything about results or fleets from the Independence regionals. Wasn't it this last weekend? Is there someone who has that data?

@dominosfleet said he'd try to get the results/fleets. I was there with three friends and came in 11th out of 26 attending. I can provide lists of those four fleets if desired, but none of us came in higher than 11th. I can say that there were 7 Rebel fleets and 19 Imperial and virtually every Imperial list was running at least one ISD. I think I saw one Imperial MSU, one four Vic list that dropped after round 1 and a 2 ISD/2 Gozanti/no squadron list.

If you were in attendance, I was the guy running two Ackbar Assault Frigates (and other stuff, of course).

How is it perceived if you go to a regionals tournament and then drop out?

I ended up not going to the Independence Regional because I couldnt stay for the full tournament. I would of been able to play for the first 2 games then I'd have to drop out due to other obligations that day.

I can see if you create an odd number of players by dropping out would irritate TOs and players.

Anyways... just curious what peoples opinions on that were.

I don't think anyone really minded that you dropped - if you have other obligations, then you do. It did create a bye in rounds 2 + 3, but I think people understand that byes are part of tournament life.

Independence would have been a reasonable trip for me, but the Bellevue regional is the closest. I had family over this weekend and the office holiday party, so the timing wasn't great.

@PartyPotato is saying that he skipped because he would have had to leave in the middle and wasn't sure how that would be received, not incriminating himself as the person who did.

+/- 25 attendees - is that about what you were expecting, based on the size of the KC community?

honestly you made me take a hard look at my list to find that 1 point i could clip(obvious clipping tidus first, because he's just there because i had 2 points and didn't care about the bid). I don't see a "good" place to take it out so ya, I suppose I'll keep it this way for now.
