FFG... please, please, level Chewie up to PS9. That big walking carpet deserves it. He didn't get so much as a hug when his BFF was killed, but still did his job so **** well. He even ate a gross Porg for our amusement. Now he has to watch other Wookies be way more relevant in their Auzitucks? Not fair!

Change the pilot ability if you have to, but at least try to remain true to the films in this respect.

Please share your ideas for a new pilot ability or at least voice your support for a new pilot card for Chewie, along with the T-65 fix and Resistance A-Wing of course. Rebellions are built on hope!

I mean, it's worse than Porkins. Granted it's on a better ship. I just feel like if you really think he's better than Rey, he should also have a more useful ability than her.

I don't know. Truly white Sloops, and white K-turns, for one damage on critical turns seems good. At PS9 people would run it.

At PS 5, he can be a big blocker. I want to Run Chewie with Rey and R2-D2 crew like in TLJ.

But what EPT? Expertise is always nice but what else would work?

Yeah, it might do pretty well. I just don't know if it'd be better than the typical Rey/Finn/Kanan build (which by the way bugs my thematic nerve because Kanan doesn't show up in any of the new movies, and probably never will). And it's also probably not as great as old Han.

Also, (massive spoiler, brackets to be safe):

Chewbacca PS8 - When you receive a stress token you may assign 1 focus token to your ship.

EPT - 'Never tell me the Odds' Rebel only. - During setup, before the "Place Forces" step, select 1 enemy ship and assign the 'Never tell me the Odds' Condition card to it.

When defending against a ship that has the 'Never tell me the Odds' Condition card, you may receive a stress token to reroll 1 blank result.

Works with Rey and Finn crew

When attacking or defending you may reroll dice until the desired result shows up.

You may attack ships all over the play area.

After defending if the attacker is inside your firing arc you may perform a number of attacks until that ship is destroyed.

Your ps is +1 than the highest ps in game.

Jumpmaster Chewie edition.

Honestly, that final sequence just shows that OT Chewie's ability is just right. Ignoring crits left right and centre. And his PS is probably about right as well, there clearly weren't any named pilots in that TIE rabble.

When defending, or when rolling attack dice, you may spend any numbers of porg tokens to change the same amount of hit or crit results into an eye results.

The stupid porgs were yelling and shaking when enemies were attacking Chewie, or when they were about to collide with the crystals in the caves.
Chewie can use this as extra warning, decreasing the amount of hits he gets from obstacles or dice bombs, and it's kind of a depleteable Sensor Jammer for attackers. It also protects against Kylo's condition.

Yeah. I was honestly not getting what the thread was talking about until you mentioned ignoring crits left and right. There is no point in increasing his pilot skill over this.

Not sure on that. Sure both flew through tight confines. So did lando. And chewie is the lower PS of that group. But we have to ask.. What is the minimum bar for surviving a tunnel run like that?

Norra Wesley and Jake Ferrell, who survived the DS2 run, are 7's.. But does that mean 7 is the lowest needed for a tunnel run? Or could chewie's 5 be near that lower limit and all the others just massively overqualified?
