Nice! I really like 'em! For some reason, the blue seems a little over-the-top on such big models. Maybe you could try giving them a good wash? Just being nit-picky though. Very nice work.

Really like this too. What base do you have this mounted on and do you have any game specs for it? Is it Imperial?

I may do mine someday. I'd add it to my S&V Rogue Warlord mercenary gang.

The model is just on the peg from the model kit. I'm planning or working up Squall Squadron as an Imperial unit, complete with repaints and personalized cards. . .the Republic cruiser and my two ISDs will feature. I have always loved the Bird of Prey, and was excited that this model kit was not too far off scale wise. I have not figured out any specs, or a playable base.

So, funny story about the blue. I started with this:

then wound up with this:

The photos don't show it off great, but I first bought this color at a hobby shop that doesn't get much business. The jars of paint were 10+ years old. When I reordered the paint online (since the hobby shop is slowly going out of business/not restocking), the same paint SKU was much lighter .

The large ISD on the paint is basically repainted because the undercoat is old and I had to mostly repaint with the new. Luckily, the photos are forgiving. In real life, the large ISD has a crappy mottled paint job thanks to paint hue immiscibility

In any event, Squall Squadron is going to have winter-themed call signs, so an ice blue is OK by me.

Larger. It is 19"; the ISDs above are 16" and 23" respectively, so it is inbetween size of those 2.

Mostly I would use it as a set piece, so some on-table gravitas is what I want.

I thought it might make a decent Huge ship if it was a modest size. I suppose it hulks over the table quite a bit at this size... I'm considering it partly so I can just have fun painting it in my Imperial white and gold....

@Darth Meanie , where did you get the ISD? I think that, while very much out of scale, is what I would rather field than the Raider for thematic reasons.

The smaller Snaptite ISD I bought at Hobby Lobby.

The Republic Destroyer and larger ISD I bought on Amazon.

I relax by building models, so if it weren't these kits, it would have been a WWII plane or a car. . .at least with these I have some use for them after completion

The larger ISD can be found under two names;

" Imperial Star Destroyer Model 9057 by Zvezda" and "Revell 1/2700 Imperial Star Destroyer".

They are the exact same product.
