Ok so now that VIII is out, where does it fit in your SW film rankings? Please no reviews or editorializing, there are other threads for that.

Ok I’ll go first:

IV, V, VIII, R1, VII, VI, III, II, I.

It's getting tough in spots. They all have their flaws by certain films just seem to hold up better on re-watch.

I haven’t seen 8 yet, but I’ll edit when I do. I know I’ll catch flack also.... but....

edit: Saw the film now. It was good. Lots of mistakes, but a film I would watch again to pick up on small details. I also like how they dive into the philosophy of the force in this one

Want to rewatch 8 for better clarity on the film, but current rankings are:

I don't count Rogue 1 for anything, apart from a few choice memes

Last Jedi could have been a lot worse. Fortunately they avoided some problems. It wasnt just a rehash of Empire, it had an original plotline with decent depth which was a miracle coming from Abrams, the heroes were mostly not mary-sues whose crazy plan always works, etc...

Killing Snoke was a bold move. Risky, but it worked because they had Kylo be the one to kill him instead of Rey Ex Machina. It also means that we now have some interesting bad guys instead of a rather ephemeral threat of an unknown character.

The humor was sometimes over the top, but not too much. It was largely on point.

Not going to lie, I enjoyed the humour. Poe was a little much at the start, but most of the other jokes hit the mark.

Until Star Wars kills them. Oh snap, I just realize Star Wars been killing moms as much as Disney even before the acquisition.

IV, V, VI, I, RO, III, VII, II, VIII -- subjectively. VIII is better than II at the least, but I'm less likely to enjoy it.
