Nah, just give him the 8. Rey deserves her 8 for the jakku escape in 7.

Well flappy X-Wings are now a thing in canon, bring on the double sided S-Foil!
DJ’s ship should be scum. Who ever owned it originally was a weapons dealer, you really expect it not to be armed? (Or armed with a title card.)
Not much else. Tallie as an A-Wing pilot.
I wish they spent as much time on ship design as they spent on Porgs.
Edited by JadotchA Wookiee Veteran Card is needed!
Wookiee Veteran
1 Squad Point
Wookiees only.
Increase your pilot skill by 3. You may equip one additional Elite upgrade card of 1 squad points or under.
You cannot equip this card if your pilot skill is 6 or over.

To me, it seemed like the shields in this movie were represented as being further away from the ship (remember the explosions of the turbo lasers), and Kylo (or his Wingmen rather) were inside that area, and also how Poe could wreck the turrets.
Maybe fighters don't have weapons that could substantially damage the hull of the ship, but they can pick out important targets when inside the shields.
This seems to be consistent with the way fighters engage capital ships in other movies.
Another explanation would be some type of new missile which can bypass shields. Something like a phased missile or something.
or more likely the Raddus had shifted its shields mostly to the aft to protect from the more dangerous star destroyer barrages. after all, if fighters can shift power around on their deflectors ("double front" anyone?) i don;t see why the capital ships couldn't do much the same.

Me too but how?
If a modification that competes with Autothrusters on the Silencer and Lightweight Frame on the SF. If a title same issue competing with essential upgrades. If a Missile only the SF can equip it. That leaves the Tech slot which has just got interesting in its own right. The TIE/FO could easily equip but it doesn’t seem thematic... I’m assuming Kylo’s wingmen are SFs but happy to be corrected.
I know it says spoiler in the title of the thread but just in case.
Kylo was able to use a single Harpoon missile to take out all the Resistance remaining fighters.

Well he did launch it straight into the hangar bay filled with lots of unshielded fighters, fuel and ordnance. That would be one heck of a chain reaction.

Yeah, given their showing in the movie the upgrade should have been different. Something more like:
System upgrade
B/SF-17 only
You can drop one bomb before revealing your manoeuvre and one after executing a manoeuvre.

Out of interest, what did the ship DJ stole actually look like? I really don't remember getting a good look at it in the film...

I didn't get much of a look but from what I could see it was sort of a flattened hourglass shape with two points on the front at the outsides. But it really wasn't visible enough to see much.
It did belong to an arms dealer though, so I could well see it being armed.

If that's the case then why didn't Poe do the same thing to disable the dreadnaught? Instead of sacrificing an entire fleet of bombers in a suicide run. The fighters couldn't stop him, but they made short work of the bombers. If they needed a fleet of bombers to take the dreadnaught, how is it that 2 TIE/sf could take down a capital ship so easily?
We could speculate all day. My point is the fluff is fluff. It was done to make a cool scene, not to be accurate in terms of physics (even star wars physics). The fluff to me felt even more unrealistic than usual in this film, which I'll clarify didn't bother me and made for some good scenes, but it's not always useful for designing a ship in a tabletop game.
Edited by BVRCHNot that we actually know anything about the ship outisde its luxurious interior, I’m taking a stab at theory crafting.
3 attack, 2 agility, 4 hull, 4 shields.
2 tech, 1 system, 2 illicit, 1 crew
DJ Pilot Skill 6 (Scum) “Once per round when defending, you may discard an upgrade card to cancel all dice results.”
High Rolling Arms Dealer (Scum) generic
Rose (Resistance) low ps “something something support ability that might not actually save your squad from iminent destruction”
Resistance A Wings are the obvious choice.
Luke's T-65 got as much screen time in this movie as the Quadjumper got in TFA, so we deserve a new Luke piloted T-65.
As far as the resistance bombers, if the goal was to keep with the movie I would have replaced Trajectory Simulator with a card called something like Rapid Deployment, where after a maneuver you can drop all of your equipped bomb tokens at once including extra munitions.

Can we spoilerfree talk about the lack of new ships in this movie. Seems like FFG got two yers of getting us old obscure stuff, unless he Han Solo movie delivers.

Krennic's Shuttle, Zeta-class Cargo Shuttle, TIE Reaper, Blue Squadron repaints it is then.
Good Star Wars ships from a good Star Wars movie.

That looks like a bunch of pictures of a capship. Which... that would be awesome, but probably not to the correct scale.
Lemme help y'all out. From the new books.
Don't think DJ's ship has much to offer us:
Interesting bit from the cutaway book. the stealth system the U-55 transports were using to hide from the First Order? were developed by Rose Tico, who initially had converted one of the Bombers to use it for a special mission. the Resistance found it so useful they refit a bunch of their ships (like the U-55's) with it. (it is basically baffles and other systems to reduce their signatures on sensors and make them hard to detect.)
not sure if that should count as "stealth device' or be its own distinct thing as an upgrade, but hopefully we'll see that aspect get used in the game in the future.
