Call to action: Repo - What are the angles of ship arcs?

Just look at what the responses are (presently), vs the responses that don't exist. What isn't present in this conversation, support for the idea, help to start collecting the data, any sort of inclination to share knowledge.

Actually, I did offer to help. Maybe my post was overlooked because I don't have the reputation everyone else here has, but the offer still stands.

I absolutely appreciate you. (Yes, I may have overlooked your contribution). But I am irritated that more established members don't really care.

Any specific ships you want me to tackle first? I was going to start with the core, plus the three large bases.

What about using vassal and the suggestion of an on-screen protector (didn't realize that was a thing!) I'm not around my computer so I can't help at the moment.

*sigh*

Darth is not out of order. Darth simply is stating that he hates math, can visualize very well, and doesn't understand why anyone would want this. A personal attack, or any belittling of your need, or opinion, was not meant, or intended.

Darth is a 51 year old, cantankerous sort, who posts his opinion, because it's the inter webs, and he can. But belittling is never intended! If I wanted to belittle anyone, I would be absolutely direct.

Hope that clears things up. Played two games today, two wins. Life is good.

spologies for double post, tablet is possessed....

Dont really care.... however i do have a protractor and a few hours to spare so i can measure then if ya want.

Once i put the manouver ruler down i can visualise where the angles are.

No, you're irritated that internet strangers won't do math homework for you.

Since you yourself obviously don't care enough about your own question to put numbers into a calculator to answer your own question, I'm not sure why I should give a **** about it either.

Please don't make me lose faith in this community AGAIN in the last 2 weeks by once more ridiculing a request for help.

Also, if you seriously think that asking why you want to know something--after helping you figure it out--is ridiculing you, you seriously need to take an internet break and grow some thicker skin before you come back.

Fwiw, I asked because I was curious if you were planning some project similar to Darth Sanguis', which would require more comprehensive information than just the angles. But sure, run with your victim complex thing. Makes more sense to assume everyone hates you.

I haven't had a protractor in the home since starting to do math without numbers... Has anyone measured them?

What tricks do you do to visualize double arcs?

Can we start a repository of the angles on each ship?

Hey Blail, I'm currently working on a project to make Acrylic ship tokens that are etched with card accurate LoS and Arc lines. I'm going to begin scanning information into my PC soon, I should be able to have a repository of the information you're looking for made, if you'd like.

Hey that's awesome! Even better. Would you mind posting it publicly here? I think others will benefit too.

Bub. I can do basic trig. Thanks much.

That's not the point.

Yeah I'd be happy to, though I think it's going to be a good minute before I have all that data. The holidays have me bogged down at work.

No worries. Not a rush. And its quite a few ships and angles.

You'll find Arc measurements on KDY. I did do a few "good enough" nudges within a margin of 5 degrees here and there.
