I don't think there's a list of official names for each category yet, at least not in english. So this list is just a guess really:

Specialist or Heavy Weapon

Trooper or Personnel

Equipment

Grenades

Force

Communications

Hardpoint

Pilot

The Spanish demo rulebook also has an upgrade icon labelled "Mando" which means Command, but it isn't on any of the unit cards that have been revealed so far. Presumably they will be on Commander units like General Veers or Leia.

I hope the game isnt overly bloated with upgrades. I want to be able to judge roughly what a unit is all about by looking at it from across the table, not needing to read and figure out what combos are hidden within the cards.

From what Ive seen though it doesnt appear to be too much of that, mostely additional models and powers for the characters.

It can be there already, particularly with pilots and nades/equipment once we get a few waves in.

At least Alex has acknowledged it needs to be addressed.

That said, at least all the army specifics of your opponent are on the table in front of you to read instead of hidden in a book/app until you run afoul of it.... (until we get faq's of course)
