I pulled this two weeks ago. After losing shields I ended up with a hit and two crits to hull. No biggie was my first thought. Then proceeded to pull Major Ex, Major Ex, Direct Hit and another Direct Hit for the second crit.

I wash shuffled the deck so it was all on me. Next time I'll let my opponent shuffle for me!

This happened to me at regionals last weekend ... My rebel Fenn Rau had 1 hull left, and took a hit/crit. It wasn't relevant to game state, but I resolved each card and got ME->ME->DH. A sequence that would have killed him from full health after the hit took the shield off.

Jup. iirc it was during the last regional. On my Fenn Rau. One crit slipped passed and my Fenn was gone. Lost me the game as well.

In SoCal, we call this "The Don Chain". Don suffered these exact crits to exactly kill his Fat Han.

During top 4 of store champs this year, I had a hit+crit against Backdraft with 3 green dice and one shield left. I blanked out, and drew Major Explosion to Direct Hit. This let another ship fire a 3 dice attack at Quickdraw, who blanked out, and lost all her shields in one go.

I was salty.

Correct me if in wrong, I suspect every time I think of that game I remember a new event that makes it even more unlikely, like a fisherman and the like that got away.

Both times off an Asteroid hit and both times at a tournament. One game I was already losing so it just ended the game faster. The other game was down to an undamaged Fenn Rau vs. a badly damaged YV-666 and I was behind it - one hit and I would win. I cut too close to an asteroid, nicked it and rolled into 4 damage to end the game.

Yeesh. That read is as uncomfortable as a detailed description of teeth removal.
