so im a long time fan of the mc80 home on style variant, ever since the days of battlefront 2.

I was wondering how to build a fleet around that ship as the centerpiece, and which admiral helps it the most.

Ackbar and engine techs. Then put in whatever side arc ships you fancy, MC30’s, AF, another pickle...

Add a flotilla or two and some squads to taste and your set

If you want a combat ship go for MC80A with ECM, RBDs, Engine Techs, Leading Shots, Quad Battery Turrets or XI7s. Finally add Defiance. Good admirals are Ackbar, Dodonna or Sato

For a carrier I go for MC80C, ECM, Boosted Comms , Fighter Coordination Teams and Adar Tallon. It is an excellent way of getting slow B-wings into position using the FCTs and Tallon can get you double attacks with a character like Wedge or Farlander. Good carrier admirals are Rieekan, Dodonna or even Garm.

Independence title is fun for throwing B-Wings around.

I cannot recommend Raymus Antilles enough. Especially with Engine Techs. Repair orders with yield 6 points or 4 plus a bank of two. I want to try Intel Officer but I am hooked on Raymus.

I used to use Independence in a fleet with 4 B-Wings and 4 other squadrons and it was a good way of getting them into position. Since FCTs came along in wave 4 I was able to save points and drop the title. Turn 1 FCT the B-wings distance 1 then they move on their own distance 2. Turn 2 either move them into combat or if you still need more distance FCT them again and wait for a flotilla or Yavaris to activate them again while the MC80 activates the X-Wing escorts.

Back in the days of using Independence it had some great fun with moving Han distance 4 then Tallon him back to inactivated so he can rogue in the squadron phase and move another 3 and attack a wounded fleeing MC30 after its attack run.
