Showcase: ARC-170

By Bullox, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

Edit - Added stock photo. rebel-arc-170-600px.gif

This is my player ship in the HotAC style campaign (Battlestar Pallas) I've been playing in recently. Meet Paden Kline, callsign Paden and his trusty gunnery crew Stella Star.

Those TL tokens - WOW!

Printed on label paper?

Here's my ARC. I've been planning on getting a second one, just for painting.

When I took this pic, I had lost the big wing mounted guns... in the end, I found them at the bottom of the box where I keep my ships.

Hey, that scar. Texture, or just paint?

Add: to your level, the droid looks a bit simple. Maybe a touch of colour, a lens or something...

Just paint.

Paint a small blob of the base color then a smaller black blob within that one and finally an even smaller one in grey or a metallic inside of that one. Think of it like you're painting an archery target with irregular shapes.

I know the technique, just asked because that one of your ship is nice. For a scar of that size I would choose to texturice it with a knife, hot needle or my mind powers. Doing it only with paint is brave, dude.

Yep. Printed on self-adhesive label paper then stuck to a couple of extra "real" target lock tokens.

These are all absolutely beautiful repaints! Got a serious case of paint envy.

One of my currently two Arc-170. Only slightly weathered.

My Norra. I'm sad I won't be able to fly her along with 2 blue ace t70s in 2.0. was a fun list.

The other ARC170, a real rustbucket, held together by tape and prayers :)

You mean "space tape" and "space prayers."

I'll still run that list. I'm keeping 1.0 to play. Too many Cards. Too much Cardboard. Also when we play, the rule is "Devices Away". I hope as a final gesture to us 1.0 Die Hards is a release of all erattaed 1.0 cards as a deck to replace their respective cards. One can dream :D

Norra's a bit over the top. unfortunately this model won't reflect her 2.0 traits. The idea for the guns came from somebody else on Reddit I believe.

Well there is always Shara I guess, since she has Norra's old ability.

Norra with Saw Crew and 3 Caravan Angels is so much fun to fly that I did up my ARC in Saw's colors:

Great look!

I guess Saw only sees things in Black & White...

Another thing to pad the count

Just had to throw this in here. It is a new paint scheme after all.
