Regionals data Dec 16, 2018

The beauty of SFO on a Command 2 ship like Yavaaris is that Slicer tools can’t counter it. Because in the round that you use it, there is no dial for them to manipulate with a Slicer. They have to wait until the next round AND have a first activation where the Gozanti can land in range of Yavaaris a second time around (which would be impressive, if it somehow managed to survive the previous round).

But I can definitely see where a Sloan list gave you much more trouble, particularly given the Imperial suite of Quasar Titles. I’d be wishing I had QLTs in that kind of matchup. The squads would not last long

But Flight Commander is also VERY good for Yavaris, so it's not an automatic pick.

It shouldn't be hard to tell them yes, though.

They're not asking "do ISD lists win regionals?", they're asking "can I field an ISD and do well with it?" - and they totally can, yeah.

Probably a better place to look for new people is the store championships data. IIRC, ISDs did above-trend there. But even looking at regionals, ISDs do ok. I would have expected three more ISDs in the top half of the field than we currently see, but not many more than that. (Looking only at the tournaments that we have full lists for.)

I tell it like it is. I usually say, "It's everything you want it to be, fast, powerful, tough to bring down, but you will pay a lot of points for it." Most people are sold, resulting in yet another one being lost to the Dark Side.

The legitimate galactic government may not be ideal, but some of us prefer respecting the rule of law. Also this Imperial spam is why any other Regional I attend (unlikely but possible) I will be trying my hand at scum. (There's a saying about geese and ganders that goes here.)

if no one every opposed the rule of law we would be a British Colony. Some times the rules suck so you have to hope. Rebellions are built on hope btw.

But then our grammar skills might be better ;)

We prefer "The New Republic" to scum, personally.

Yeah, but no one would be sure how you actually govern and, to be honest, if all of your representatives were wiped out in a planetary explosion it probably wouldn’t even provoke an emotional response.

Just sayin
