I managed to get hold of one of each of the Boba and Luke starter decks. Here is the full breakdown of which cards and dice you get, enjoy!

I really like Heightened Awareness(ambush w/3 shields in a single card is pretty good) and Mislead(Blue Electroshock? Yes please).

Mislead is the offspring of Isolation and Electroshock. You get both die choice restriction but don’t need to spot a specific color. It’s likely to be a solid role player in multi-color decks.
Brief review of the cards leaves me seeing the hero deck as much stronger than the villain counterpart.

HA seems ridiculous if you can set up a disgusting quigon play
yeah quigon is going to be everywhere with all these shield based things coming up.

QGJ is already everywhere!
Hunters instinct! For a fan of Bossk, I love this card!

No one in my locals is playing him actually(one guy has him built, but he hasn't shown in a while so I haven't gotten to play him in ages).

Which is about all there is to love about it... It could have cost 1 and not sucked. But it costs 2, and is total garbage. I guess that fits the Bossk theme?

Yup which is why I have uphill battle
Am i correct in saying all the dice in the starters are fixed (i.e not rares or legendaries?) Thus meaning I won't have another bout of what i shall call "BB-8 blues" wherin I kept bloody pulling rares that i had out of the starters anyway?
The Luke set actually helps out Old Luke a LOT R2 looks AMAZING.

Appears to be true, but we still have the same issue where buying two copies of the Starter is necessary for a full playset of the Starter rares/uncommons, and to build a legal deck.

Correct. All Starter cards with a die are EXCLUSIVE to the starters, so no popping Instincts of R2s in your boosters. Also each starter has two Events which are exclusive to each of the starters. So if you want 2 of a particular Event, or if it ends up Meta and is almost a neccesity, then you will need to buy two of that particular starter.

Yes we do. I would rather they up the price to 20, or maybe even 25, and just include 2 of everything in the decks.
gotta say I actually really like hidden blaster
lack of redploy is going to hurt its ability to be included over holdout, but my broke *** would certainly appreciate a cheaper alternative that also lands with essentially free damage against a lot of lists (or even just going first). It's also gray for inevitable Kylo encounters
hunting rifle? not so much compared to the dh-17. the extra damage side, even if it's a modifier, is so much more clutch than the disrupt in most cases
hasty exit for slow decks is also pretty exciting. If you run into palp (assuming he still exists after kylo's ridiculous starfighter) or another fast deck, it's essentially just 0-cost mitigation without giving up a die, and that's nuts

I think Standard and Trilogy may well be interesting there are some interesting cards that seem like a poor choice but if you take the destiny cycle out of the format they become interesting.
in a card game like this its bound to have numerous similar yet slightly different cards.
Hidden Blaster is the Legacy rotation of the Holdout Blaster, exchanging Redeploy (since thats kinda an overpowered ability imo) for the free "damage" (shield removal) and no resource face.
Redeploy alone will probably keep Holdoutblaster in a deck instead of Hidden Blaster, but i could see it over a lot of other 2cost guns.
Anyone going to run Maz's Vault in their Lando vehicle decks?
I am not so sure that is the type of deck I would play with Vault.
Building into a higher cost of upgrades or more of them is my first thought, and taking characters or upgrades that have disrupt to slow your advancement down.
Lando doesn't do much to slow down your opponent, so the card really doesn't help you any more than it hurts your opponent. You don't advance your win condition any more than you advance your opponents.

you be spending the same money either way
Blue R2-D2 seems nice for Force Misdirection if using Legacies Luke or Kanan.
