I feel that just ruins the game experience for fans of the lore vs just a game. Good example, Whats the point of naming the game x-wing, and then making the x-wing absent from the game as a viable piece to your squadron. At this point, I dont even play the game anymore because it just isnt really viable to play. To many major lore issues, gameplay is Meta Only, and quite frankly, you might as well just admit to the fans you are making a Pay to Win game.

A tabletop game should be able to be played by ANYONE, not just the super rich. But now to be in the meta, I gotta shell out bla bla bla dollars every so many months? just so i can compete? No...**** that. I bought the ships I cared about, and then they made them useless. Welp, I am out then.

The "cast" recurring to them as missile launchers, was probably pretty vague about the exact nature of the missiles. It's a much more recent source - ICS - that specifies "proton torpedoes".

Also seems like a new ordinance is in order.

Phase Missiles: 4 points. Imperial Only. Attack 4. Attack Target Lock: Discard this card to perform this attack. When assigning damage, deal damage directly to hull instead of shields.
