10 Questions for FFG

By Drink Blue Milk, in Star Wars: Destiny

1) why won't you tell us when Legacies will have wide release? 2) why did EU get limited Legacies and US get limited Rivals? This cannot be planned marketing 3) How does Jan.4th qualify as a Holiday Release? 4) How much does OP and the Regional season go into making a decision as to when products will release? 5) How much input does Disney have into deciding when products will release? 6) Why wasn't there a world wide release of Legacies on Dec. 14 to coincide withe the release of the movie? Did you not know when it was coming out? 7) Why didn't you inform stores that they would be getting six copies of Rivals until two days before? Don't you feel like it is good to let store owners know when products will arrive? 8) How is SIX copies of Rivals supposed to promote the game? Don't you feel like it will just anger your consumer base who once again cannot get product from you FFG? 9) Why do you have such a hard time in giving players a release schedule as to when they should expect to see product from your company? Do you see competitors in your industry committing to release dates and think to yourself, "Hey how come they can do that but we cannot?" 10) FFG do you hate Destiny players? Be honest

I agree with your points/questions 1-9. 10 is understandable but petty, and sort of undermines the rest of the post.

Side note, use some paragraph spacing man!

This! 10 is not constructive, even if I liked the original post myself. And yes, please space things out.

Australian players laugh at your pettiness. I’d love a Rivals set or a few Legacies boosters.

It could be a simple logistical issue where as US based manufacturing are handling rival sets and European based are handling the legacy material.

Especially if reports that the cards aren't exactly the same size are true.

Looks like the distributor expects the game this week, so we are hopeful of a 4th release. The Games Cube has the 4th in any case and they are usually pretty good.

Actually they are all made in China and that is the issue. Shipping times vary to different places. They would typically just warehouse the goods at the destinations that got the product before others and release them at the same time.

I honestly think they tried to get Legacies to the US in time for the movie but the boat was late by a few weeks (my thinking). Weather and mechanical failure can greatly delay shipping across a big ocean. I am pretty sure they did not plan an "actually no longer holidays" special release for the US. So they got the product to the EU in time, not the US and decided to ship out what they had. The Rival packs looks like another drop air shipment like they did for SoR. They just got a pallet the factory had ready and had it shipped out so the US would get something.

This whole thing is a mess and they really shouldn't have. Disney probably had a hand in it though. BFII had a big release to go along with the movie so they may have told FFG to do the same. Problem is, this game is making money so it gets attention where as a game like Armada still doesn't have their Rogue One ship out and I am not sure anyone even cares.

Things have gotten much better for Destiny. Would you rather have it be like it was with the Awakenings release? Remember how no stores had product and it was greatly underproduced? Legacies seems to be off to a rough start but it's nowhere near what the Awakenings launch was like.

just like star wars your post needs some space

They got X-Wing to release corresponding to the movie, which is probably still their biggest seller.

I get confused by these type forums. There is so much product out already. It is a bit overwhelming.
