How about a little game info. Objective/deployment, lists?

Lol. I got my first Uthuk game in last week. They are sure fun to play. Roughly had two 2x2 Berserkers (one with Warsprinter), Ravos with Fear Incarnate, two 2x1 of Spined Threasers, and one 2x2 of Flesh Rippers. Played against Latari tho was a fellow who had never played Latari before... will blog it up and post the link soonish.

We might not have the quantity yet, but by Ravos* do we ever have the quality! Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to another year of Runewars discussions!

I think it will be too boring trying to recreate everything in words (we really should have taken screen shots, but it took us 2 hours to figure out how to load our lists -- pro tip: you can't -- so we just wanted to get the game going).

• Ankaur Maro got inside the Blighted ground for protection. This delayed when he could start pelting things because he couldn't attack during round 2, but that made me underestimate him. I should have gone for him sooner. He took out Ravos, a Flesh Rippers unit, and did significant damage to the Berserkers.
• I was hoping my Flesh Rippers would be able to get me some objective tokens, but Parakitor set up his forces beautifully to prevent me from being able to do that. He also set up all his units on the side of the map with the blighted terrain and I fell into the trap by trying to meet him head-on.
• If I had taken Warsprinter instead of Bannerscamp, I would have engaged the Spearmen on turn-1! I think that would have changed the game significantly. However, Bannerscamp was fantastic with Psychosis Siren.
• My Flesh Rippers charged the Carrion Lancers and were one damage short of taking out a tray. They really need rank discipline, so I think 2x2s are going to be better, unless you have the unique upgrades from the expansion, in which case you can just And then Ravos came in and finished off the other tray. Ravos is so beastly! Viscera Goblet ended up healing two wounds during the game, which let Ravos last a little longer since at one point, Maro shot him and got him to 6 wounds, which would have been the end of Ravos.
• During about turn 3, my Berserkers were in the middle of all the undead with 4 unstable energy showing. I triggered Psychosis Siren and it was beautiful! I think I drew 10 morale cards that round! With Ravos also in the thick of things, all those morale tests dealt added damage. It was a beautiful thing.
• Unfortunately, Psychosis Siren only triggered once. When I finally took a turn to rally and refresh it, the Psychosis Siren got sniped out of my unit. But this was my fault because I had the choice earlier between giving panic tokens to the enemy or giving inspiration tokens to my allies. I should have done the inspiration tokens because then I would have been able to do Psychosis Siren back-to back. And with The Spined Thresher nearby, everyone had panic tokens again at the end of the round!
• I have a really hard time remembering that "range 1-unstable energy" translates to either 1, 2, or 4. I keep thinking it is essentially "1 plus unstable energy" so I accidentally measure 1-3 with 2 unstable runes showing and 1-5 with 4 unstable runes showing. I made that mistake a few times this game, so I really need to watch it in the future.
• The blighted Spearmen with War Crier were pretty awesome. My first charge fell short and they got my Berserkers with 1 blight, and then they went at initiative 3 the next round just to get the other blight on my Berserkers so that when my Berserkers finally collided, they couldn't roll any dice.

The final score was 144 W - 113 U and nobody had any flank charges, so there were no objective tokens scored.

This is my first post in here so hello @all - you know what the biggest shame about this great community is? That we are so widespread over a couple of continents and most probably won't get the chance to play each other in person to try out some new lists or show our painting "skills"...
