I Figured Out How to Break the Parry Talent
I see. Don't you think either shooting or hacking it would suffice? Do you really need to do both to break it? Did not look that sturdy (not Reinforced or anything), to begin with, did it?
Calm down Mack.
"What do you mean? I hit him as hard as I could. I don't half-hit, that's why it's called a punch!"
How would we replicat inhumans and their powers in Genesys? How could would the magic system best be implimented for "magic users" that have pretty narrowly defined or themed abilities?

Use the magic system as is but have characters with one or two defined powers that can only do certain things. Maybe they learn to use their powers in more unique ways as the game continues, which could be represented by them learning new magic actions.
The strain cost feels appropriate for them too, considering it takes a level of concentration and it tires them out. Look at Quake, she actually injures herself every time she uses her powers and requires the gauntlets (implements) to use her powers more often. That said, she can still use her extremely damaged arms to fight somehow because apparently she heals fairly quick compared to humans.
Yeah, I guess it comes down to player and GM responsibility and not using the magic system to "do anything you want" like it could be used right now. Maybe even knock strain or other penalties down a bit (but not too much!) to balance the limited scope of the abilities.

That and she has those bone healing pills, especially now that she doesn't have to smuggle them on the downlow, and has been content to only toss people around instead of knocking down buildings as of late. But the gauntlets are great examples of implements, and so would the idea of taking wounds instead of strain for certain bonuses (like adding blacks instead of purples for utility upgrades).

That's an...interesting approach to "Blood Magic" actually. It's interesting how many different ways people interpret and implement the same ideas.
