At some point with every squad you run the risk of diminishing returns, and that's what I'm wondering about with Poe.
How big of a difference is PS 11 verses PS 10 if you are at 100 points?
VI POE: PS 10 or PS11?
Depends on how many PS 11 ships you fight. Vader and QD will often have missiles, so 11 will be great if you're able to defer initiative and use Black One to remove target locks. That might not be enough, and Poe might lose to PS 11 Alpha Strike either way. I haven't played the matchup, and I can imagine Poe doesn't really like getting hit in the face by big missiles, but being on-par PS with them might not matter too much.
VI/FCS/TT Kylo seems like a thing, and 11 would help against that. I'm not super worried about too many VI Han or Wedge, and nothing Scum, really.
I'd guess 8+2=10 is probably fine for VI, but I'd want 9 for anything other than VI. That said, I can see there being times when I'd rather have the points on Poe, since he probably protects them better than 2 points on another ship. Of course, that's 2 points less damage the other ship is doing. I can imagine squads where I need the points, and ones where I don't.
I say PS 11 because Harpoons at PS 11 (Vader and QD) are such a thing right now. You need to Black One TLs away.
There *are* alternatives. For example: PS 11 Fenn can coordinate a Boost action to a PS 8 Poe to drop that Target Lock.

Sure, but this assumes you're running Fenn in the squad. Doesn't really help something like Plot Armour.

Depends on your meta, my meta there’s no need to throw away 2 points on PS11. Just as long as you’re above PS9
