Battlefront II Just Nerfed Raiders...

By Forresto, in Star Wars: Armada

Mild spoiler for the new DLC for Battlefront II....

According to Iden Versio the Corvus never had missiles implying Imperial Raiders aren't typically equipped with missiles.

So I better not see any Imperial Raiders using black dice. It ain't canon :P

Torpedoes aren't missiles. Keep those APTs!

If a raider arent typically armed with missiles, they dont have torpedo tubes.....

...just some lazers.....

Lol

If the Corvus never had missiles, then it sounds like the Corvus title removes ordnance somehow from the standard Raider.

I mean, if they want to remove the ord slot and replace it with Turbolazr's I'm not opposed to that.

TRC RAIDERS

YES!!!!

TRC? Forget that, H9s and Gunnery Teams makes them possibly the most efficient flotilla hunter in the game.

I...Don't hate the idea of a title that makes this a thing.

And if the title would remove an ordnance slot and would cost some negative points (-4?) I would be delighted as well ;)

Finally my alt-art TRC cards would make sense lol

TRC is red die only. So it would give nothing but sorry to the Raider

I just presumed this meant all black dice in the battery armaments became red, cause why black if no ord?

Because easy is not how Imperial Navy does things ;)

I don't know why FFG doesn't release some card packs, titles being the most obvious. It would be such a cheap easy win for them.

Would love to see more campaign boxes with cool themes that bring ship titles to match the story of the campaign.

It's their way of making sure folks buy new models.

I do think Armada is a game the card/cardboard packs could work for. I'm unlikely to buy 4 victorys but I'd buy one and 3 card packs to get my necessary flight controllers and some other titles.

I think this is the general thought on the way FFG "should" move armada to keep it healthy with next to no effort. who knows, maybe making those maps actually requires more thought than it would seem.

Turbolasers don't need to be Red Dice. after all! (Only Reroutable ones do!)

Just like the Black Dice on the ISD-I aren't necessarily Ordnance!

I smell a Raider Veterans pack coming down the line.

Black dice aren't necessarily missiles, just a representation of a ship's lethality at that range.

Could always throw some Enhanced Armaments on that bad boy.

... still more likely to do that than Rapid Reload on a Regular Raider... >.>

Plain simple: It's a Raider II

Given that the Corvus was the headquarters of a special ops team that specialized in getting in, doing the job quick, and getting out, I wouldn't be surprised if Corvus was a modified Raider that had it's missile-carrying capabilities removed in favor of other systems more useful to Inferno Squad's missions (maybe even removed to make more room for that hangar).
