Quick question, does the effect granted by the "Tactician" crew activate when firing from the rear arc on the ARC-170?

Yes, because he doesn’t specify primary firing arc

This is why it can be so good to put one on a Wookie ship or a YV-666, the 180 arc counts and is a rather large area (especially on the YV).

Unless it specifies the arc (see tailgunner) any "in arc" effect works on any printed arc.

Note that turrets do not have a 360 arc, which is why it doesnt work for them. They "fire outside of your printed arc"

I just want to add that another, perhaps unexpected, interaction is that tactician also works from the Ghost's special firing arc even when it doesn't have the Phantom docked, so you can stress people with your TLT if they happen to be in either arc and at range 2.

Any weapon, any printed arc. Just has to be range 2
