Played something similar to this last weekend. Secret Santa event required me to play Crimson Leader (and hence Rebels), but also had "cheats" for toy donations for Toys for Tots, which allowed one to purchase up to 5 extra points. For anyone interested, the extra points were: Proximity Mines on Miranda (3), Sabine's Masterpiece on Rex (1) and Rey on Rex (2).

I'd been pretty unimpressed with the B/SF on paper, but once I played it in this list, I was intrigued. Rattled is pretty amazing, especially alongside Sabine, and the platform is pretty tanky even with only 1 Agility. Rex helps a bit to relieve some of the pain of 1 Agi on the other two ships, especially with Rey (I'd like to get her back on him, but need to find 2 points somewhere, which isn't easy with Missile-randa and Protons on the bomber). I used Rex as a blocker early in all my games to keep the B/SF slow while building up Focus on Rey and setting Miranda up for a missile run. Later, he turned into a blocker to block enemy ships and tag things with the condition.
