[Mafia] Rebel Runners - Day 1

i'll consider it, what were those theories?

Irrelevant now as they were built on the idea that the scum lacked a night kill. I won't waste space here as we townies have to get it together and find the Imperials. We're running out of time.

Will leave work in around an hour so nothing substantial till then.

However, given my position.

I am the runner hacker who redirected Ebon to Rajam.

I chose to redirect someone I found to be scummy and also expected to be one of the most vocal about their results so I could kill two birds with one stone as it were. I wasnt sure if my target would know they were redirected or not so a vocal player is even more important.

I chose Rajam because I couldnt get a read on him so wanted Ebon to get something if possible.

Yes I can still be pissed of with stupid play when I specifically targetted Ebon because I expected stupid play. This has been royally stupid play.

As I said yesterday. I need to read the whole thread again with the understanding of Ebon and Rajam.

I have not done so yet. I will soon.

I am not going to throw a vote randomly until I have done so.

I'm sorry that I think about my vote carefully.

Gah. Just leaving work now.

Sod it

##vote Ebon.

so for his first post, if he's a town hacker.. why redirect me from himself again a 2nd time when i could confirm his role and something about him... instead of going for me again.. doesn't make sense

he then says he won't throw a vote away, votes for me, and then ends up on rajam at the end of the night?

Pod you've gone silent now along with gink... come in played the same as gink, misdirected, asked questions that had answers, thrown shade back on me...

votes on gink at the moment only...

Ard, can you confirm that you were redirected last night please.

@CaribbeanNinja, may I ask why you chose this night to run?

if ard comes on, i'll reshift to pod and let you have some breathing space, but thats on ard being a town read so far

and this is what i wanted to know, hence it being out there... he was a man drawing intrigue yesterday

which would mean you're saying you didn't redirect me last night as well, so for a 100% on you, who redirected me?

I can, but that doesn't clear you because any of the scum could've done that:

Hacker: Your computer manipulation skills are legendary. Each night, you can use them to misdirect one of your fellows by responding to your game PM with ##redirect (insert player here) to (insert player here). Any actions taken by the player you target are redirected to the second player you listed. You cannot target yourself with this ability.

correct, unless someone comes forward, but i've learned my lesson and i'm not pushing a role claim

unless that happens now my read on ginks still solid otherwise, so i'm gunna start reading pod and some others..

as far as i'm concerned gink looks scum enough for you all to realise

It clears me from all cases where scum does not have multiple hackers.

Scum are redirecting Ebon (or he is lying) onto town targets so they are not exposed. Its a safety move.

This means CNinj is confirmed town.

We already know Wigti is very very likely town because of mod error.

Ebon unfortunately is likely town because of being redirected. It shows scum have concerns over his role. Not a clue why as it was blatant he would check me. Though I suppose Pod or JJ could have been concerned.

If CNinj is not a pilot (please confirm) then Ebon is scum.

So actually you confirming that you were redirected means a lot.

i'm also hitting the sack as last day of work tomorrow, perks being nothing will be done in the office today ;)

back usual time 8gmt ish

Why is that surprising?

I'm trying to figure you out still. If I give you the benefit of the Doubt it could be game over so why would I give that over so easily bruv?

Im not trying to throw shade, but it seems anyone who questions your integrity is scum in this one...

Stop stressing me out n ting..

Actually wait a sec. Why did you attempt to scan me Ebon? I already had an unchallenged role claim.

Getting hot?

**** ebon comin’ hot out the gate.

Losing Rajam hurts. He was trying to lead, and we no longer need question his motivation. I intended to go over his stuff and have something for daybreak, but work was too busy as we head into the holiday break. But I intend to look at his posts, as well as Ginks case against him. I will say that it was, in fairness, awfully persuasive on the initial read, although the timing of it concerns me, especially in hindsight.

I’m looking forward to Ards insight.

Oh my. Gink, this question is interesting for a number of reasons.

1. If you are town, and we can assume you have therefore been truthful in all things, then this means there are two redirects in the game.

2. If Ard is a pilot on either side, he won’t be able to answer this question. How would he know?

3. If he’s not a pilot, admitting it is either dangerous (if he’s town) or a deliberate ploy (if hes scum). Plus, if scum, he may simply lie. {Between writing this and posting it, ard confirms he was redirected}. You know this, and its really not so different from what you are calling ebon a moron for, in that you are essentially forcing a soft claim. And the only benefit to town, if indeed it is one, is that it clears you of redirecting Ebon. Which I guess is valuable, in that if the second redirect is scum, then thats good to know, but its much less valuable to us then the knowledge that Ard has a non-pilot role is to scum.

It means Cninja is a confirmed pilot, although I had him read as town also. But I mean, why would scum care if Ebon scans them? Theres not a single role in this game that marks a player as scum. You’re better than this.

I think your reasoning is fallacious, as illustrated above.

Fallacious, or deliberately misleading.

'Cause he didn't trust you?

As it turns out, you are told when a redirect is placed on you, regardless of whether you used an ability that it would impact.

You also know to whom you were redirected, which is interesting. I'm keeping that bit to myself for the moment.

Another thing to note is that Ard and he could be scum, and a scum merely confirming a scum to clear them both.

If there are two redirects, who else was redirected Night 1? I am not asking for names or fishing in any way, just pointing it out for thought. Hypothetically, there ought to have been two redirects the night before.

My sense is that there are at least two redirects, but I can't quite prove it yet.

Ok that actually changes a great deal of my calculus in the above post.

Agreed. I'm going back through mine now as well with this knowledge, it's a pretty significant change.

For example: who else was redirected the first night? Also, who redirected me? I don't necessarily want an answer to these right now, though I do think we're getting close to claim time--just a couple of questions worth considering.

I'm a runner pilot. I thought I might draw the kill last night.

I may have missed it, though I thought I saw a reference to it further up (possibly by @Madaghmire...?), but... have we actually confirmed that there is a scum nightkill in play?
