Has anyone seen the images of Oumuamua? Maybe someone could post an image as I can't right now.
A Mon Cal ship is flying through our solar system
Ard posted this in the off topic forum I believe. It’s the long torpedo (or turd) shaped one right?
Nah, it's clearly an MC30
I thought the same thing when I read the news articles about it lol: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/a-cigar-shaped-asteroid-just-boomeranged-through-our-solar-system
I thought about posting it there and would have seen it then. Oops. Sorry Ardaedhel ?
Thought the same thing. Hope we have an evade token.

No worries lol, not everyone frequents there anyway so I’m sure there are those that haven’t seen it yet

No worries dude... Glad I'm not the only nerd whose mind immediately jumped to "
hey that real, serious scientific discovery totally looks like my plastic toy spaceships HURR
!"
That thing is just a little bit longer than a CR90. Given the distance, it's amazing (to me) that something that small was sighted at all.
@Fanfan Are you still keeping up on this stuff?

This in general is what blows my mind about the NEA program as much as anything else..

yes !
It's also the first reliably 'interstellar object' to be discovered ! Meaning it's the first object most likely coming from another stellar system ... dream fodder, isn't it ?
The pictures available are just artistic depictions, but appropriate ones as it's known to be ten times as long as it is wide.
They could not completely rule out if its shape was not a bit triangle-y

And it scanned Earths news channels and determined there was no intelligent life here which is why it is leaving so quickly.

Well the dolphins haven't disappeared yet so I think we're ok.
