I’ve actually had fairly good results (won a tourney at my store) with a similar list. Though 1 thing I’ve found that works well is downgrading a Vic to a Vic-1 with external racks and quad Battery Turrets. Flown in formation you offer an impressive long range threat while also giving a close range threat to help ward off some close range attacker’s

So it ended up working out really well, but I think only because I was able to take second player. I was able to wait for flotillas/other ships to move into long range and then pop dcaps for 8 rerollable dice at range (QBT+cf) and 7 at another target from both Vic’s. Not much can withstand firepower of that magnitude. And Vader was cheeky and went to speed 0 parallel to the board edge and spammed CF waiting for anything to enter his range of 5 rerollable reds. I lost one Vic and all my ties but was able to get the table, including his Most Wanted Yavaris.

again though, i don’t know how the list would have faired as first player having to choose from precision strike, HA, or superior positions...

Looks like a very fun casual list. I'm glad it worked out for you. :)
