I found this over at the Beasts of War . Looks like there's going to be a really good outing for Star War Legion this year at Adepticon!
Legion at AdeptiCon
Not surprised, by then it should be out (or just releasing at worst)
Had a chance to play a demo of Legion. I really enjoyed the game mechanics. Seemed to move pretty fast. Alternating unit activation, like with a lot of tabletop wargames coming out these days. I'm very much looking forward to Legion events at AdeptiCon 2018.
There will even be one or two seminars on how to paint Legion miniatures for novice miniature painters.

did you play with suppression mechanics? If so how does it work and does it work well (If you're not breaking nda or some such)?
Suppression’s works from ranged attacks only and if you score a hit on the unit they take a suppression token. One gets removed at the end of each round. Then if they exceedes your courage or whatever they’re calling it you only get one action. There’s a brief summary of suppression. We’ve been playing a lot of tts that Tieren made.
Do you get supressed with a hit after the defensive dice have been rolled, or before?
You gain Suppression every time your opponent declares a shoot action, confirmed by Davy.

No, I’m pretty sure that you get supression every time someone attacks you regardless or damage. It’s basically showing how your troops are hitting the dirt even if they don’t get hit they’ll get scared.
Edited comment, poor Luke has 3 courage, maybe they'll make a Jedi Master Luke eventually.

Some additional info on suppression from the Spanish rulebook: the suppression mechanics are mostly too small and blurry for me to read, but I can piece together some of the section on "How to Eliminate Suppression"
"After activating a unit that has suppression tokens, but before it can realize any ... must Regroup . To do this, the player ... a white defense die for each suppression token ... assigned to the unit. Next, take off one suppression token for each block (block symbol) and [i can't read makes this part out very well but there is another symbol shown, perhaps a defensive surge]... is thrown. If after doing so the unit has fewer suppression ... than its courage points ... can carry out its two actions ...
In addition, during the Final phase a suppression token is removed from every unit. "
So it looks like when you activate a suppressed unit they have a chance to get rid of suppression tokens, but it's only a 1/6 or at best 1/3 chance for each token.
