The interaction here is interesting. Having played Attani Brobots several times since the nerf, one of the main weaknesses is the inability of the brobots to focus their fire, because they are unable to both turn around on the same turn. (also they lose their action economy if a single bot goes down)

Contraband Cybernetics is an interesting answer to that problem. Dial in 2 Kturns, perform 1 an recieve a stress, then flip cybernetics on the second one, gain a second stress, kturn for a 3rd stress, and STILL give both ships a focus token. Then as long as ship 1 does a green, ship 2 can have a focus token every round while it;s clearing it's stress stack. And once the stack is cleared, ship 1 can do the same trick ship 2 did earlier.

Consider this build:

IG-88B (36)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Jamming Beam (1)
Contraband Cybernetics (1)
Autothrusters (2)
IG-2000 (0)

IG-88C (36)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Fire-Control System (2)
Heavy Laser Cannon (7)
Jamming Beam (1)
Contraband Cybernetics (1)
Autothrusters (2)
IG-2000 (0)

Total: 100

Basically classic brobot builds, but with Attani, cybernetics and jamming for the range 1 gunner instead of PTL or Crack/Glit. They have the action efficency of the PTL build and the maneuverability of the crackshot build.

Thoughts?

In my experience, multiple stress tokens is a 'death sentence' for bro-bots. Being able to get focus from the other IG-88 is just not good enough. They need double actions to win these days, so for me, PTL + sensors is the only way to go currently...

It's one of the most creative build I've encountered recently, I'll give you that. I do agree, however, that Adv. Sensors/PTL or FCS still seems a lot more potent.

Not if you're flying the right bro-bots !

It's not a bad idea; I like Tractor Beams better than the Jamming Beams though. Neither do damage, but TB has range 1-3 and tossing small ships on rocks is always helpful
