it's getting reviewed amazingly? It sounds like the Skywalker might be ending which is GREAT, the EU was the best once they started understanding that the less Luke the better. It's not that he and vader/aniken aren't interesting characters, it's that you can't build an entire universe that spans multi millennia on one family.

I agree that the less Skywalker the better, but good reviews do not equal a good movie in the modern era anymore. Not with THAT much money behind a project

bad mouthing a movie before you've even seen it is incredibly ignorant. Maybe you won't like it, maybe you won't see it because you're afraid of how much you won't like it, that's fine but don't try to make it worse for other people just because you have a negative viewpoint of the direction w/out having any actual experience with it.

The thing that drives me nuts in the "modern era" is this popularity of disliking things, the worst of which is against millennials. Somehow the idea that not liking something somehow makes your opinion valuable but it doesn't and if you can't cite specific reasons why a thing doesn't have value then you're just complaining to complain.

See the movie, write up a reasoned out page or two about what you didn't enjoy and cite examples of how the previous movie did the same(often argued) things better or how the changes don't mesh. Just stop whining because no one cares about an uninformed opinion.

Who’s whining here?

I made a comment based on the spoilers posted, none of which inspire optimism. And praising a movie based on the reviews of others is just the same as not having personal experience with it, so watch the throwing around of words like “ignorant.”

But clearly you needed a reason to vent about OTHER things, so don’t let me stop you from getting your online therapy.

Well either the new transports don't have scatter tokens or Snoke's ship was rocking some serious accuracy tech. Also, the resistance bombers are clearly OP.

Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot. I really liked that Rey's parents aren't famous. Leia's fake death was a bit dumb though, as was the fact that they refused to just tell Poe the plan and avoid all the trouble.

Best joke: General Hugs.

The Supremacy comes with H9 turbo lasers maybe? ?

It would have been fine if they didn't play it up that her parentage was such a mystery and important. It feels like narrative blue balls.

Saw it, liked it. Didn't LOVE it, not all of it anyway, but some parts were really good.

The Force stuff was very appealing, with Rey, Ben and Snoke's little act, and the passing of the Not the Last Jedi After All.

The Rebel fleet part seemed almost superfluous. And some of it really lame. Like going to another planet to find a random slicer, while being pursued by the 1st Order fleet?

Anyway, probably better than TFA. Maybe.

Please first comment be only if it is original or ESB 2.0, really want to know and prove some friends wrong, but don't want spoilers, can anyone do that favour when things come through? I'd greatly appreciate it :D

It's ESB 2.0 all right, but with some bits from ROTJ too :D

...but some original stuff too.

Edit: and Ani 2.0 is in there as well...

If you gonna spoil it, don't hold back, doggone it. Tell all! Details, man!!

Resistance almost completely wiped out, but has lit the fire of hope or something by being utterly inept and dying because of it.

Snoke dies as soon as he declares himself invincible. Ben becomes Supreme leader. Slaps hux around a bit.

Phasma gets slapped around by Finn. Falls to a fiery death. For good I hope.

Luke dies, but he's not the last jedi after all - Rey Nobody is.

Leia survives. Poe too. He's become the new great leader figure of the rebellion (they start calling it that at some point).

The rest was inconsequential.

Oh, and Yoda is in there too.

So the plot synopsis is true? All of it?

The reddit one you linked? Yes. Except I don't think the little kid at the end had any force ability, he was just wearing a ring with the Resistance symbol. I could've missed something though. And I wouldn't really say the planet where the end fight took place was Hoth-like, it was a salt flat.

Salt instead of snow, otherwise the base assault was the same, with trenches and gun towers etc.

The kid used the force on the broom...

I guess. TL;DR

I guess, yeah.

Huh? I was actually expecting him to force float the leaves or something, but the broom I thought he was just holding in his hand... Maybe I need to get my eyes checked.

Snoke dies...wow, worst use of a villain since Maul.

yoda? What, force ghost?

And that's Rey Meeko, or Versio if she uses her moms name...at least I'm fairly sure. Lol

Snoke appears in person. CGI alien. He's written out because no one liked him. Ironic that he actually has some good dialogue there at the end.

Ben does a Maul on him.

Yoda the force ghost. Uses lightning to set stuff on fire. He's back to looking like a puppet.

Ben claims she's a Nobody. But they could oc change that.

That does seem to be the presumption. I suppose we'll know more once the campaign mode wraps up here in a few days.

Nah, he walks out of the building and Moves the broom into his hand.

Same kid that make Ani-like whooping sounds earlier. Kind of funny nod there IMO.
