Lambda Peg bent

By Celestial Lizards, in X-Wing Painting and Modification

Ok, I just bought my first Lambda, and when I put it on the stand the model was tilted a few degrees. On closer inspection, the piece on the bottom of the model is slightly bent. I don't want to risk damaging the model, but I don't know how to fix this. Any ideas?

Sounds like a great excuse to start down the magnet rabbit-hole. ;)

The pegs are glued in and can be wiggled free with some effort. Then you can put it back at the right angle.

If your're firm but gentle, you can pry off the peg with pliers and attempt to re-glue it to the ship as you see fit. Cyanoacrylate (super-glue) will do.

If you DO want to magnetize your ships and have an ebay account, there are plenty of cheap options. Search for Neodymium magnets or "X-wing magnets". Personally, when I magnetize my ships I use two flat magnets, one on the peg and one on the ship. I can't "bank" but the ships are less likely to "fall over" on the peg. I'm sure you've seen that.
