Mon Mothma only seeks to set herself up as the Robert Mugabe of the galaxy. Should she succeed (she will not), her fate will be the same as his (if she's lucky - but she won't be, because the Empire shall prevent it).

Correct. The Empire shall always prevail.

What an absolutely wonderful thread. I am going to make a note in your file of your exemplary performance @Mikael Hasselstein and recommend you for a commendation.

@GhostofNobodyInParticular and @The Jabbawookie I find your lack of faith disturbing to say the least. At best you sound like apologists for the Jedi at worst you sound like Rebel sympathizers. Your actions will be monitored closely. This will be your only warning.

I’m worried I didn’t make my overall position clear. Whether or not the Emperor violated Republic law is significant only as a thought exercise. Such legislation is both dead and corrupt. Our new order is more streamlined and effective than any before it. Palpatine’s transition to power was graceful and gentle. In contrast, malcontents and rebels seek to seize galactic leadership through force, but lack the numbers to ensure order. This would plunge the galaxy into unprecedented chaos. Already, much of the rot that plagued the Republic has been cut away. I am certain that when the last Alliance member has received justice, Imperial focus can be shifted from our glorious military-industrial complex towards other pursuits, and we will improve further still. Long live the Empire.
