Dodonna + Structural Damage + Precision Strike

By eliteone, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Hi, was wondering about this scenario, couldn't see a reason why this wouldn't work or be legal:

After my ship makes an attack, Dodonna triggers and I deal 1 damage card face-up, draw four, and select Structural Damage. My opponent resolves the face-up Structural Damage card, and is dealt one face-down damage card and flips the Structural Damage card face-down. Later, I attack that same ship with a Bomber squadron and I spend a hit-faced die to flip one card face-up - I have him flip the first damage card, re-revealing the Structural Damage.

Does my opponent then re-resolve the effect and take another damage?

Do I get to choose which damage card he flips face-up?

as always, thanks to the SW: Armada Community!

You don’t get to choose which card is flipped face up by precision strike.

thst card must be random!

it never is though is it...

Duh, re-reading the card the word RANDOM is right in the text, very clearly. I'm just oblivious. So all Dodonna does for me really is give me some info on which damage cards my opponent has been dealt.

It happened in a game I was playing last year an I had a pretty good idea which face down card was the structural damage. I closed my eyes and got the opponent to move the cards about before picking.

Yup, it works, and this is why there are other crits that are actually worse to get on that Dodonna's Pride/APT face up. Depending on the specifics, I've had Comms Noise, Shield Failure, Projector Misaligned, and Injured Crew all pay huge dividends for me in this scenario.
