Cor Conflict questions

By Zrob314, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

1) Show of Force: So this evening I defended against a Show Of Force. The Imperial Player got both stations but I won the match 300/105.

Does the imperial team still get the 80 resource points?

Does the Rebel team get a victory point?

2) Can I remove ships/squadrons from my fleet?

If I do do I get a refund for them?

Can I bank refit points each turn in anticipation of dropping two ships to make room for something like a battle cruiser?

3) Can you move titles from one player to another?

Say the Imperial Team had 4 people, one of whom had Demolisher.

If the guy running Demolisher quit could the Imperials assign Demolisher to someone else?

Yes, they get 80 resources.

I say no, but am not particularly clued up on that question.

In theory you are not allowed to remove ships except by getting them destroyed. You may want to houserule that. Or you can let the ship get killed twice.

No you would not get a refund.

There are ways to deal with people leaving, best is to find a replacement for his fleet. Check out the rulebook for how to handle this situation. No you cannot reassign their ships.

Funny thing, the only place it discusses player dropout is the side bar on page 7.

It says you should recruit a new player and have that player take over the fleet or build a new one. I presume that if they built a new one you'd use the rules for retiring a fleet for the old fleet? It's not specific.

This campaign started 4v4. A rebel dropped before we did the first campaign round. Thanksgiving holiday meant we basically gave one player a bye. An imperial player is dropping for personal reasons. We weren't able to recruit a fill in rebel players so I think we're just gonna leave it at 3v3 and be glad we've got that.

So yeah, unfortunately you straight retire the fleet with all uniques gone. Thems the breaks i guess, though of course if you can reach an agreement between the two teams then nothing is stopping you

Yeah. Part of me feels bad that they would lost Demo and Screed because of this.

I think if it was other unique no one would care.

Maybe on top of paying for the title if they want to use it again they have to use the same gladiator frame and pay the cost of the repair (since it died in it's first round match) or bring it in scarred.

As a neutral third party, does that sound like a legitimate compromise to you?

My legitimate compromise would be slightly different. If they are forced to retire one of their current fleets then Demo and Screed would both be available for the new 400pt fleet unlike normal.

That way they only get access if they are struggling.

I think that my suggesting that as a rebel player might seem to punitive.

Dont offer them a compromise. Explain what the rules are and ask them their opinion and go from there. You may be surprised.

Hallo together,

I've also a CorConflict Question but didn't want to start a new thread.

So me and my buddy just played our 3rd round. I managed to kill his last ship (a Pelta) with my last fighter activation (Dengar).

The round before a CR90 of his jumped to hyperspace. His last squadron on the board was Han Solo. Does he count as destroyed?

I won through the points but my question is if my buddy has to repair Han Solo or not. THanks in advance

It's ambiguous, but in my group we've been playing as if the answer is no, he wouldn't have to repair Han, since it doesn't say squadrons left on the board after the last ship is gone are destroyed, the rule just says they're "counted as destroyed for scoring purposes" (apologies if I'm wrong, I don't have the rules in front of me).

It was clarified by FAQ

They are counted as destroyed for scoring purposes - ie, you count them as destroyed to see who wins the game only ...

They are not scarred.
