Saw a post on here recently suggesting Chewbacca as a decent meta counter (don't remember by who). I got thinking, and came up with something like this:

At least in theory, it's got a lot going for it:

• Countermeasures should make harpoon alpha strikes a lot more difficult, and help against swarms.
• Both ships have too much health to worry too much bomblets and bombs in general.
• Chewbacca is a hard Kylo counter, and as long as he sticks near the VCX Draw Their Fire should give it a degree of protection.
• The Lothal has pretty good firepower, and Chewie is a scary endgame ship with the classic 3P0-falcon title combination.

The potential drawbacks I see:

• Autothrusters are going to be tough for this list to punch through. Classic imp aces aren't doing so well but I'm worried about silencers.
• A bit concerned about Chewie's lack of firepower; 3 dice with a focus and maybe a target lock isn't super scary on its own.

Thoughts?

It's pretty decent. Though Chewie doesn't have super awesome firepower, the PWT is still relevant and he will get many shots no matter what. He is a great crit counter to many things including Kylo.

The VCX I would probably elect to go to Kanan especially now with Rey crew helping him even when he gets blocked. It would put them at the same PS which is also really nice for two large ships. His pilot ability would definitely help these guys live longer as well. Not sure on the crew to replace Rey on Chewie. It is nice banking focus so he can evade if need be, but Kanan's ability is similar to stopping the damage.

I’ve been practicing against a Falcon/VCX list lately. Definitely difficult to finish off. This is what mine looks like:
