Posting The Last Jedi Spoilers

By Force Majeure, in X-Wing

Just wanted to put this out there somewhat ahead of the movie.

TLJ oficially opens in the US on December 15.

If you want to discuss things that happen in the movie that will give away important information, could we agree to give fair warning first please?

There's no set length of time for openly discussing spoilers, but let's all try and be cool to one another.

Some people (servicemen/women, and others) aren't able to see the film upon release for various reasons, so just put some consideration in your thoughts before letting the cat out of the bag.

Thanks for reading. That is all.

Sounds reasonable. Maybe someone should make a TLJ superthread and we all agree to keep TLJ stuff in there until the new year.

@Captain Lackwit You know why.

Spoilers

The last jedi already came out in 1980

Wouldn't it technically be 83' cause Luke was considered a full fledged Jedi until after Yoda died and he Faced Vader again?

Won't be able to see it until the 25th with the family, ready for 10 days without internet! Had TFA spoiled through some jackass liking some hip-hop dudebros post on facebook with all the spoilers. Fortunately I didn't think they were legit, but it was still a bummer to realize. Stupid facebook dudebros.

Oh, I will see it most probably at the 15th - faster and earlier than the last 2. But nevertheless I will probably stop visiting this place after tomorrow as i did for the other 2 films.

There are already far too many unmarked spoilers here, e.g. unasked-for leaked pics etc.

A lot of people seem to be able totally unable to at least use "spoiler" warnings, instead they post revealing stuff often already in the headline.

I’ll abide by it, even though it’s dumb. I mean, we all went to see LOTR still knowing the end. We know all those Disney films will have a happy ending. It’s the journey there that matters, and that’s why I don’t give a stuff about spoilers. A short sentence cannot give context or buildup.

Nevertheless, there are indeed weirdos out there who act like the world has ended if you so much that conjecture about the parentage of BB8 (R2D2 and DS1 clearly!) so I promise to avoid spoilers.

I'm seeing on opening night, and I won't spoiler without a proper warning.

I still don't know how to use the spoiler thing for this forum!

It is

[ spoiler ] [ /spoiler]

I think, minus the spaces.

So you do not have got tickets for 13th Dec showings

Belgium is a swear word

Hong Kong opens on Dec 14th and with a 14 (ish) hour time difference to US means it will be 13th still in US when I watch...

... I won't post anything, but I suggest all people stay off the internet until they have seen it:

The Web is Dark and Full of Spoliers!!

Nothing but click bait. Came here looking for spoilers as the topic suggest, got nothing but spoiler hate instead.

BTW, Vader kills the Emperor!

Well Darth Vader is Luke's... oh I see someone already told you.

Okay well here is a guess, I am predicting that General Leia is killed in this episode for basic reasons.

note* I have not seen the movie yet but I am putting it here just to see if it was correct and not. If not then what is going to happen in Ep IX? If it was correct just remember that I called it.

Pssst ... titanic spoilers ahead!

The ship sinks.

Bruce Willis is a ghost for the entire movie after he gets shot.

Heh. Yeah, I don’t get why everybody gets so hurt over spoilers. You could spoil the whole movie for me and I’ll still watch and enjoy it. In fact, I actively search for spoilers. I want to know as much as I can as soon as I can. I Google “The Last Jedi” several times a day, at least. I thirst for Star Wars knowledge. I guess I’m the exception to the norm.

Me too. Looking at spoilers helps me enjoy movies even more.

I thirst for Star Wars knowledge. I would rather reseach and study Star Wars lore than research and study for my school assignments.

Spoilers actually make me enjoy the movie more as well. Finally, a kindred spirit.

It's interesting. Generally, I don't care about spoilers. But every now and then...

For instance: the fact that Hulk is in the most recent Thor movie was spoiled long before the movie came out. Buy the commercials. However! I think I would have enjoyed that reveal quite a bit more had I not known it going in.
