Hera and Sato

I like the idea of Sato for making the squad game higher stakes and I've been looking for an excuse to run squads that cost more than flotillas (uff).

This list is a lot of fun to play, albeit way more fragile than my usual Madine Liberty shinanigans. I found that I was not getting the big kills because of my ability to move around with Madine so much so I wanted to go for a massive damage, high activation, squadron-important, list.

At it's best (2 times now), it has delivered 10 rerollable black dice at LONG range and popped ACM's on 3 of the 5 activations. That's not counting Nym getting a lucky hit to knock out a Brace during the previous squadron phase and Han getting a double tap in their without a single squadron activation. The Pelta kept them in formation very well so they could CF.

It has obvious weaknesses, but I wondered what others would think of this thing.

I think yours would do much better against MSU than mine. I was having trouble with ISD's. I'll need to try mine against an MSU to see how that goes. All the HH's I've lost so far went down with 3-4 damage of overkill on them.

If you've flown yours a bit, was there enough squadron power there to keep Sato hopping?

Fun little fleet - so long as there is a nice big target to hunt! When I play my HH list it always seems like I get paired in the mirror match against other HH lists, or against Cracken or Mothma MSU's where you just feel completely powerless to push damage through defenses. Especially if there is an admonition on the other side. It gets really tough to feel like you can do anything but get blown up.

Generally speaking the squadrons have been enough, but I am very careful with them. When possible, I try to make sure the fight takes place near obstacles and I hide my squadrons in there for additional protection.

That what I keep thinking! This fleet is getting renamed to Mo-ped (a cheap motorized bicycle for friends in far off places). It is so much fun to ride, but don't let your friends catch you doing it.

I hadn't thought of (or faced) admonition *shudder*.

I played a HH swarm vs a mothma admonition. Ramming is the only way you are going to hurt it.

Yeah, if you're going to splurge on all those ACM's, you want to make sure they're triggering with every attack. HH's don't give you that many dice to work with, so you want as many rerolls as you can get. Ideally two hit/crits per attack to nullify evades and Admonitions.
